Mariah Carey was on the cusp of entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. However, the diva was sensationally left out of the Class of 2024 - despite besting many of the names who were ultimately picked in the public vote.
The latter, of course, is not the only metric factored into the process. Yet, the omission still left jaws ajar given that Mimi has technically been eligible for induction since 2015 (as nominations can only take place 25 years after an artist's debut).
Needless to say, Carey's Lambs are less than impressed and took to social media to vent. As well as Carey, Sade, Oasis, Sinead O'Connor, Jane's Addiction, Eric B. & Rakim, and Lenny Kravitz also did not make the shortlist after initial nomination.
