A Mariah Christmas for Sony Music
According to HiT, music and entertainment lift-out in today's Herald Sun, this Christmas season Sony Music, Mariah's label prior to Virgin Records, will release a greatest hits package comprising Mariah's most popular tracks as well as many remixes. The as-yet untitled double CD will be instores December 3rd.
This news comes just days after the Australian release dates for two new box-sets were announced. Released November 19th, each box-sets includes three of Mariah's albums (Mariah Carey, Emotions and Music Box in the first box-set and MTV Unplugged, Daydream and Butterfly in the second).
Meanwhile, back on the Aria charts, Mariah's latest album has risen back into the Top 20 Urban Albums. After debuting at #1 and staying in the Top 20 for 6 weeks it departed briefly last week, but this week sales increased pushing it back in - where it now sits at #20. Once the new video for "Don't Stop" premieres and the single is released, hopefully we'll see an even more dramatic rise on the chart. Many thanks to Neil from Australian Mariah Carey Fanclub.
