About Austin from USA: Mimi fan

Tea though (53,755) by Austin from USA
"Tea" means news, or gossip. For example, "What's the tea?" Really means, "What's the news?" "Tea" is popular slang in gay culture.

New album (43,841) by Austin from USA
I've listened to it 3 times already. I love it. It's everything. Dedicated, Make It Look Good, and Faded are my immediate jams. There's not one song I don't like. The gospel ending is killer. She really does George Michael justice on the cover song. I agree with some of you, You Don't Know What To Do needs a no rap version. The beautiful intro is ruined. I also feel that Supernatural is hindered by the baby voices. It's just overkill throughout such a beautiful song. Dem babies are cute, but their voices and giggles should only have been included in the end of the song. Love this album.

Album (42,917) by Austin from USA
Mariah is planning something big for us lambs. I'm so excited. I think the artist mentioned in this article is our beloved.

Album title (42,641) by Austin from USA
I personally think the album title should be Dedication. The fans deserve it at this point.

First time with Mariah (42,340) by Austin from USA
I remember being pretty young when the first album came out, around 12 years old. I wasn't really into Mariah back then. I was just figuring out what type if music I preferred, which was mostly rock and pop. However, my older sister was amazed by Mariah's voice in the Emotions song. She used to play it all the time. I'll Be There was another Mariah hit played in my household, my mom was a big RnB fan. When Dreamlover came out, it was inescapable. I really liked the vibe and became interested in her career. Then, Without You hit and I became a solid fan. Her voice was like an angel and that song soared. Daydream solidified my love for Mariah and it remains one of my favorite albums to this day. I've been a lamb ever since.

State of career (41,855) by Austin from USA
It's true, Mariah's career needs a makeover. I love the new song, but it's not resonating with the public. I'm a diehard fan and enjoy most anything she releases. I was very excited for a new song after hearing Beautiful and TAOLG. But, YM is too similar to her past hits and what's currently playing on RnB radio. It's a great song, and I understand why it would be tried as a single, but she needs to try something new, i.e. Beautiful and TAOLG. She also needs to let go of being the top artist on Billboard. Those days are gone. The industry is different and that doesn't make her any less of an artist. After her last failed album, Madonna is rumored to be making a ballad album. I hate to compare the two, but they both have longevity and talent in the industry. Mariah needs something new. A cover album, a jazz album, a gospel album, or simply a new sound. Something that would jump start a change in her career.

New album (40,976) by Austin from USA
I'm starting to think this new album may be a duets album. All of the insight into to process so far involves other artists. I wouldn't be mad about a duets album, but I'm hoping that's not the case.

Choreography / double album / fav 2000s album (40,964) by Austin from USA
I agree with some posts, Mariah doesn't do choreography well. She definitely has rhythm, but she can't dance. She doesn't need to anyway, her voice is the entertainment. I would love to get a double album. She should have more than enough material for one. They should be released together, like I Am by Beyonce. If they're released separately, like Justin Timberlake's latest, the second half may not do well. My favorite "Valentine" song by Mimi is Underneath The Stars. It's a classic. My fav 2000s album is definitely Memoirs. I agree though, Glitter is very underrated.

New song (40,935) by Austin from USA
So, I don't think the new song will be released on 2/14. But, I do believe she will perform the song during her private fan concert and release video footage from that performance onto Facebook. That will start the buzz and announce the single. Hopefully it will be properly released soon after. No one releases new singles on Friday. Except Beyonce!

Dream concert (40,807) by Austin from USA
Vanishing (I love Mariah's more jazzy songs and think she's matured into that type artist, one that can crossover into that genre)
Can't let go (one of my favorite songs from unplugged)
If it's over (that SNL performance was the ultimate)
Without you (I've never heard her perform it live, and I've seen her 3 times)
Anytime you need a friend (she should work with full choirs more often, it really compliments her voice)
Underneath the stars (another favorite I've never heard live)
Always be my baby (crowd pleaser and she always has so much fun performing it)
Melt away (just for the nostalgia)
Butterfly (never heard it live, wonderful lyrics)
Fourth of July (Underneath The Stars copy, but I love it)
Can't take that away (she used to really get into this performance, she had Patti Labelle moments on stage during the Rainbow era)
When you believe (Whitney tribute, also may be nice to here a Whitney cover, just the lonely talking again or you give good love)
Never too far (I would like to see her embrace the Glitter album in live performance, I love this song)
We belong together (duh)
Mine again and Circles (never heard them live, wonderful songs)
Fly like a bird (that Grammy performance was a knockout, I can always get into that type of performance, she really shined)
I'm that chick (I thought it was a great song and her performance on MTV was fun and playful, like Mariah)
It's a wrap (great song, playful lyrics, very Mariah)

Style / album title / Nas (40,806) by Austin from USA
I agree, Mariah's style is the least of worries. However, TEOM era was great for her look. She needs a management team that can generate a look and brand that is relevant to today. She got that with TEOM. She's always had less than interesting album titles until TEOM. I hope the title is just true to the vibe of the album. Nas is a legend among the hip hop community. Yes, he's no longer as popular as other artists, but he's a very creative artist and exactly the type of collaborator Mariah needs to work with in this stage of her career. I'm so exacted about new music. I can't wait!

Album title (40,745) by Austin from USA
I agree, Mariah should drop the album title, "The art of letting go". Too much bad press associated with the shenanigans of delaying last years album release. However, I hope the song "The art of letting go" makes it onto the album. It's a great song. I hope there are more songs on the album than the usual 14 or so. If she is truly remaking "Lullaby of birdland" I'm super excited. Mariah has always dabbled in jazz music and this is a classic song. I can't wait for the day she releases a straight jazz album. Usher has great vocals and I wouldn't mind hearing another duet between the two. I'm so excited about the new album, I've always considered her album releases as events! I hope she starts teasing us soon with news.

Collabo (40,623) by Austin from USA
Do you think the new collaboration could be with Mary J Blige? I know they did a duet remix for It's A Wrap that was never released. I would die to hear that song. I'm very sorry the Angels Advocate album was shelved. The Jump Smokers remix album was so good.

Lee and Victor (40,031) by Austin from USA
Lee, that video is from the release of Mariah's first Christmas album (1993/1994) while she was married to Tommy Mottola, her first marriage. Victor, R. Kelly announced a collaboration with Mariah while he was at the American Music Awards, which was last week, where he performed with Lady Gaga. On another topic, I really enjoy Mariah's new song, "The art of letting go". While I agree that it's not radio material, I appreciate the release. Mariah seems to be making the music she wants. It's obviously not a single to launch the new album. If her predictions of a release date are right, we should be getting a new, proper single at the beginning of the year to start the promotion. I'm sure Mariah will release a stellar song to impact radio and media. I'm happy with her new direction and hope the whole album is influenced by the stylings of #Beautiful and "The art of letting go". To the person that suggested "The art of letting go" is commentary on her record label, I find that assumption interesting. If so, it's a very clever way to release her frustration.

Covers (39,143) by Austin from USA
I've always been a fan of MC's cover songs. She always puts her special touch to a song. I especially love it when to remakes a male's original song. I really love The Beatifil Ones. I want Mimi to do a remake if a George Michael song. What is everyone's favorite cover?

Worst album cover (39,130) by Austin from USA
Mimi's worst album cover is Charmbracelet. It's so generic.

Angels advocate (38,890) by Austin from USA
I'm still pissed at Def Jam for canceling the Nigel's Advocate album. I know a few of those songs are online, and the dance remix album was great, but I'm dying to hear the Mary J Blige remix of It's A Wrap. Mimi has too much star power to be so controlled by a label. Memoirs was a perfect RnB album. Although I agree that there wasn't a great single on the album, it should've been promoted properly.
