Gisele Bündchen learned English from Boyz II Men
| | | Gisele Bündchen | | How's this for a Throwback Thursday? During an appearance on Today this morning, Gisele Bündchen joined the news anchors in a nostalgic conversation about cassette tapes, offering that her very first cassette "bought in 1994" was by none other than Boyz II Men. "They're very romantic," she reasoned.
But the Boyz did more than just romance the then 14-year-old supermodel: She continued by admitting that the group, along with Mariah Carey, helped her learn English upon leaving her parents' home in her native Brazil. So why invest in Rosetta Stone or even Schoolhouse Rock! (remember that?) when you have '90s R&B to school you in English? If her success is any indication, it clearly worked for Bündchen. (Elle)
