Reality TV footage shows James and Mariah in love

James Packer and Mariah Carey were headed toward marital bliss, and he seemed happy to appear on her reality show, based on several clips from the dramatic diva's new E! reality show "Mariah's World". Despite claims from Packer's camp that he didn't want to be on the E! show, he and Carey are seen celebrating with cake and Champagne in outtakes obtained by Page Six. At one point, she even pulls him onto the dance floor as Jay Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" blasts in the background.

A spokesperson for Packer's company previously told us that "he is not involved in any reality-TV program". But the billionaire mogul beams on video that's expected to be on the show when it premieres in December. In one clip, a person is overheard telling them, "You guys do make a hot couple on camera." A blushing Packer immediately pulls Carey by his side, making her smile.

Packer seems less comfortable in another clip, where they're partying with a room full of people clapping and singing "Oh Happy Day" to Carey. He sits and forces a smile as playful Carey poses next to him in front of a cake with sparklers.

But sources close to Carey claim their on-camera romance started to fizzle after Packer's business manager Tommy Davis got involved and started to "poison" their relationship. Carey's camp fears Davis has taken control of Packer's finances and ordered him to "disconnect" from her, a common practice within Scientology.

Packer's camp has denied that Davis or Scientiology caused the split and blamed it on Carey's "crazy world". A source close to the billionaire told us, "James isn't a man who could be controlled, he is a very successful businessman. James isn't the kind of guy to listen to someone else where it comes to his private life. His relationship with Mariah ended because she is a diva, she has an entourage around her and she's filming a TV show, which is a crazy world that James doesn't want to be involved with."

Reps for Carey, Packer and Davis did not comment.
