According to In Touch, Spears became livid after learning that some of the dancers from her Piece of Me show had auditioned for the summer leg of Carey's concerts. A so-called "source" tells the magazine, "Britney is hurt that Mariah would try to sabotage her show. Brit's boyfriend, Sam Asghari, has been trying to calm her down, but she's become determined to outshine Mariah in every way possible."
The outlet's dubious insider adds, "Now Britney is doing anything and everything she can to make sure her dancers don't have anything to do with Mariah's show." But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who assures us Spears and Carey aren't in any kind of feud over backup dancers, and the claim otherwise is entirely fabricated.
Of course, this isn't the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out In Touch for publishing a bogus story surrounding Spears' Las Vegas concert. We previously corrected the tabloid for falsely claiming Spears was angry about Jennifer Lopez signing on for a Las Vegas residency. Gossip Cop also shot down the publication's inaccurate report about Justin Timberlake joining Spears' Las Vegas show. There was no truth to either of those stories, and the same goes for this latest one.
