You heard it right! Mariah Carey is back and she's ready to drop some bombs. She surprised fans with this particular track, A No No which came as a gift of sorts with every pre-order of her upcoming album, Cautious.
This latest song is her interpretation of Lil Kim's Crush On You, which is, in other words, a bona fide diss track. "Off with your head, now slither out the door, snakes in the grass, it's time to cut the lawn," sings Carey, who sure has her way around things.
While the lyrics will get you on the edge of your seat, I'm not quite a fan of how it sounds though. It's rather bleak and, unfortunately, repetitive. This seems like something that an amateur Carey would've done in the past while getting a foot into the game.
This is definitely not something one would expect from the Carey of now, who's just putting out her 15th studio album. Great story, yes. Great song? Not so much. Sorry Carey, it's a no no alright!
