The Queen dropped by The Tonight Show. No, not the star of Netflix' The Crown but the one and only Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey. The pop superstar sat for a chat with host Jimmy Fallon, surrounded by presents, candles and, of course, a Christmas tree.
At the top of their talk was on rumors of a cinematic version of her best-selling biography, The Meaning of Mariah Carey. "We're talking about some things. I really feel like it should happen," she said. "That was always my goal but it was important to write the book first."
And who could play Mariah in the film? "I don't know, we're figuring out different takes on that." So, that all sounds promising.
Another promising sign is the performance of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" in the singles chart race in the U.K., where it's on track to hit No. 1 for the very first time. What a perfect gift for the Queen of Christmas.
Also in her chat with Fallon, Carey discussed her fave Christmas songs. "I love all the classics," she enthused, name-checking Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and more.
