Mariah Carey is set to host an Airbnb stay for New Year's Eve - and it's got all the glitz and glamour you'd expect from the star. We're talking a private performance by the star (done virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions), heaps of champagne, dinner whipped up by a private chef and even a huge shopping credit voucher to spend for a festive spree.
As for the location? Guests will be sleeping in a chic geometric dome right on Times Square, with direct views over the giant ball drop which famously happens at midnight. This year the Times Square event is going virtual thanks to the pandemic, but the ball drop and confetti will still be going ahead, so guests can enjoy the incredible views.
Airbnb has teamed up with Nasdaq for the event, with the geometric dome located on the stock exchange's outdoor terrace (although guests will have access to an indoor lounge).
Perks will include special food and cocktails inspired by Mariah's favourite recipes, a $5,000 shopping credit to use before the stay, and heaps of New Year's Eve hats, 2021 glasses and horns for the countdown to midnight.
Oh, and whoever bags the stay will also receive a piece of crystal from this year's Waterford Crystal Times Square New Year's Eve Ball design as a memento.
