"H.A.T.E.U." (short for "Having A Typical Emotional Upset") is the third single off Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. The song, produced and written by Mariah, The-Dream and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, was released to US radio on November 2, 2009. The remixed version of this song, "The So So Def Remix", will be released on the remix edition of Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. This is also the official remix for the single. It features Atlanta-based rappers Big Boi, Gucci Mane (who also appears in the remix of Obsessed and a music video for it), and OJ Da Juiceman. The remix was produced by Jermaine Dupri, who also provided background vocals on the remix. It samples "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJ's.
