It's always family first for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. The amicably co-parenting duo enjoyed a night out with their kids and Cannon's mom Beth Gardner on Thursday, Cannon shared on social media. "Family time," the America's Got Talent host, 36, captioned a photo of the three adults and his twins with Carey: Moroccan and Monroe, 5½.
The spot where the family enjoyed a snack seems to be a holiday tradition for them. Almost exactly a year ago, Cannon posted a photo of the same group of five enjoying time there together, tagging it "festive family moments".
The lucky twins recently enjoyed a visit to a room full of candy, according to their dad's Instagram account - presumably a dedicated space in his own house, judging from the caption of one photo showing Monroe holding a lollipop as big as her head. "While Monroe had other plans in the Cannon Candy Shop," he wrote.
The fun-loving snap doesn't come as a surprise considering how open both Cannon and Carey have been in the past about putting the needs of their children at the top of their joint priority list.
"It's kinda the norm. It's all rooted in love, it's all rooted in positive energy," Cannon - who recently confirmed he's expecting a baby with former Miss Arizona U.S.A. Brittany Bell - told People in November. "There's no hard feelings and ill will."
He added, "Ultimately, it's about putting the kids first and making sure they have the best childhood they could possibly have."
