If you are about making Mariah and yourself money, put out these two DVDs. She looked great and had a lot of great vocal moments. She needs actual professional footage of these shows. I love this video of her singing Without you in Mexico. It was shot on her "bad side" and still looked beautiful sitting there in that gown. I remember Whitney being quoted in an Ebony interview that she thought Mariah was a smart girl and wanted to do additional projects with her in the future. Shame this never happened. I have no idea the current manager has lasted this long. I have no idea why Mariah wouldn't listen to JD about Vegas, going on late night shows and performing live, she did the bare minimum with MIAM promo. It's like she ignored most of his suggestions and felt ok doing so because they were friends. She left him out to dry when the fans were attacking him. That's supposed to be your close friend, back him up, she backed up Stella for defending her with that tacky unprofessional unprofessional verbiage. That goes to my next topic. I want Anthony to be her manager. Yes he is a diva and yes the whole, "they want ass, they want tits" quote but other than that, I liked everything else he did for her. He gave her some basic two steps so she wasn't just standing there, especially on her songs where she has live vocals mixed in with pre-record moments. He brought her attention to the post from the old team saying they are on a sinking ship, the tacky butt shot that was posted, the forcing rehearsal on Mariah, making sure her tour looked great. He didn't have an issue bringing what was wrong to her attention instead of telling her how great she is. NYE wasn't his fault, it was hers for depending on pre-records. If the audience heard dead silence or her just randomly talking instead of her pre-records coming on during Emotions, and the album version or even the live pre-record of WBT, she wouldn't have gotten the backlash she got. She needs to stop drinking, focus on rehearsal, and sleep. P.S. Leave the current manager for TV productions you have always wanted to do and hire him for the music portion. Mariah and JLo are from two different eras. JLo is a visual artist. You can trust that in her videos she is going to look good, give you a great dance routine, and exude sex appeal naturally. Had Mariah rose to fame in 1999 with songs like Vision of Love, Hero, Dreamlover, Fantasy, Honey etc would have had more views. 19 Million is great in this day in age with no label support and barely any promotion other than the "burning of the actual wedding dress rumor" that circulated social media. It caused all the kids to click and watch the video for this scene. It's too bad because a lot of the "reaction videos" on YouTube were positive about the song. Unfortunately she didn't promote it so it came and went like most things on social media. (Saturday 8 July 2017; 08:06)

Give her the choruses and bridge. Maybe even a verse. Why not? I felt her chorus girl collabo with Busta gave her a slight resurgence in 03 with the top 5 "I Know What You Want". I knew the song was going to pick up when it was played in Chicago clubs and I could hear all the women say "My song is on." Then I heard the song everywhere, pouring out of car radios, clubs, and top 40 stations. During that time there were a lot of songs Ashanti was featured in that I wished Mariah had done because she would have sounded great on those records. (Saturday 8 July 2017; 07:53)

LA Reid publicly dismissed Mariah as a relic and said she would never be played on the radio and then turns around and signs JLo who is the same age and who only had less than 5 years of chart relevance before she started flipping, whose bigger hit was Mariah's concept. He not only signed her but released multiple flop singles with videos and tons of label support. Mariah went rouge, dropped a single and video out of nowhere with 0 label support and when LA saw she got some traction he quickly recommitted to her. I'm sill pissed she didn't promote the hell out of it with performances and paid for a radio deal out of her own pocket. A top ten would have been great and most reactions on her video were positive from non-fans. Everyone was surprised the song was actually good and that Mariah was still looking good nearning 50. She could have stuck it to LA with success but Stella didn't keep her booked. What late night show wouldn't book her, great performances is views. I have a feeling these vocals aren't new but are buried underneath the layered vocals throughout the song. Although layered vocals have their place, I prefer hearing her sing loud and clear. Surprised but not shocked that the comments on Bossip were playfully defending her with comments like: "He looks like a p***. He is rumored to be a diva as well. Guess he couldn't have someone out doing him. Shame." So they hired Mariah Carey to play Mariah Carey in the movie. But then are shocked when she acts like Mariah Carey - a diva? Publicity stunt for another Will Ferrell flop. "The "Darling" part sounds like her. Maybe they should have run it past her first. If she says she wouldn't do it that way, and she is playing her self... well. "Darling I would never do it that way." Is borderline abusive? C'mon man you're taking it too far. Plus, you know she has a diva attitude. Huh what did you expect? And finally a comment from a person that claims they worked with her. Exactly. This nobody needs to take a seat. I've worked with Mariah and that's how she talks. I have never seen her be abusive to anyone. Yes she is a diva. Yes everyone knows that. But a diva in a playful, fairyland way. The way she comes off in interviews, not in a raging, screaming lunatic way. And yes, if you change the script that she agreed to show up and do, while she's on the way (regardless of whether she's late or not) she's going to tell you (in her own way) she's not doing it. She thanked him when she left because, technically, he was an important factor to her success. Plus, she still was signed with him. Can't rock the boat too much when the waters aren't calm. That's a big thing to come forward with, especially if its not documented. Why even say something now, he's remarried with kids. That would do a lot more harm than good at this point. Re: The old Mariah (76,420) (76,481) by 123 from USA The Hilton. You are spot on. AI was the turning point and the accident put the nail in the coffin to that era going downhill. It's sad because, for me, it was her best album since Daydream (my personal favorite, her magnum opus). I told a friend of mine that she had the same injury he did and he was like, do you know what type of meds you have to be on to deal with the pain and the side effects (weight gain, bloating, potential addiction), no wonder she disappeared and re-emerged for that Chanteuse tour like someone I had never seen before. She was carrying all her pain on the outside, and I was and still am worried about her. Yet the critiques about her weight and voice ended up being the focus. For someone as vain as Mariah to show up looking and sounding the way she did on that tour, you know she has got to be going through a lot. The best thing for any of us to do is pray for her. I do agree that the smartest thing to do is align yourself with successful, high quality brands and collaborate on your own line instead of trying to come out with your own beauty product in an already over saturated market. The funny thing is everyone is saying she needs to rest when she actually just needs to be disciplined again. Whenever she has a sequence of shows lined up she does well and improves throughout the dates, but historically, on her one off shows, she always sounds bad. I know many people didn't see the reality show but she had a glass of wine on every episode. And I saw a scene where she was holding a glass of wine right before a show on the SSFT, which was her best tour vocally since Charmbracelet. Which makes me upset because she could have sounded even better on that tour and continued to pull back on the pre-records. She needs to leave the drinking alone. It ruins the voice, it ages you, it makes you gain weight, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love a splash, but if it's getting in the way of your career, your health, your quality of life, a serious self evaluation and action plan must be done. I'll address that song like Mariah did, the difference is my song is charting and playing on the radio while you have to search the internet for his. Sad that again, she only performed it once even though it was doing well instead of pushing the song by performing it everywhere. I could have went #1. So let me spill some tea for the board since we are talking about squashing feuds. Word on the street was that Mariah and Eminem were going to end the feud and duet but Rihanna ended up on the song. I figured not many people know Bryson or the big R&B hit Don't and that it sampled the second verse of Shake It Off. I really liked "I Don't" and it was finally a good single release but she didn't promote it. It was a good move in regards to getting the label to stop ignoring her. For LA to say Mariah won't get anymore radio play but signing JLo and releasing flop single to flop single and they are the same age, what gives LA? Still Breathing, Fairytales, The Heat - which for some reason I play that song in the dead of winter so I can float away to warmer days. I also love Stupid by Toni Braxton and the "it should be a crime unreleased gem" that is Clockwork.
