Hmm, now that she made this commercial, I would even prefer it was about new cookies for Christmas. Lol. Yes, she looks nice but I hope it comes the day where it's about music again. I think you have answered it already. They praise it because 95 % of today's music is sh..., bubblegum at its worst. So this new Adele song sounds indeed like all her others. Nothing special. I like Adele, I have two albums of hers, but I won't buy another one. But there's one thing Adele has an advantage, she has a good image right. No scandals, no diva behavior, there are people outside who prefer that kind of image. I give a thumb up for the classic video. That's rare today too. (Saturday 16 October 2021; 19:38)

Allure (98,726) by MusicfanJ from Germany I really like this group. I have bought an "ear book" about New York, it has CD's with typical music from the city like Jazz, Swing, RnB, Hip-Hop with three songs from Allure. Very cool. I always hear Mariah when I listen to Allure. I wonder if MC has a song from Allure completely sung by herself. We just need a Rarities part two. (Monday 11 October 2021; 18:17)

I love her early lyrics so much and of course the "Butterfly lyrics". I miss those kind of lyrics, that were really poetic. We all know her voice changed, but why those beautiful lyrics? What she created with Walter was magic. I wish she would find another "Walter" a great musician who would inspire her. Than she could do a jazz album or soul-pop album with great lyrics. Yesterday I needed comfort through music, so I played her debut, "Emotions" and "Music box". The magic of songs like "Vanishing", "Can't let go", "So blessed", "Til the end of time", "The wind", "AYNAF", "All I ever wanted" and "EFA" are unmatched until today. (Monday 4 October 2021; 11:00)

Re: Music now (98,584) (98,589) by MusicfanJ from Germany Yes, I feel the same way the last 4 or 5 years. That's no music, that's noise. There's no soul and no heart to it. Even a "bad" song from the 60ies, 70ies, 80ies, 90ies until 2003 is way better than what is popular today. The few "newer" singers I like, have all in common that they have retro vibes (real instruments, can actually sing lol) on their music. With the movies it's the same, the older ones are better, but here and there a new one is also enjoyable and pretty good. Something I just can't say about today's music. I'm going to watch the "Music Box concert" again. Time machine lol. Mariah at minute 54, so cool playing air drums. (Wednesday 8 September 2021; 19:47)

I just try to enjoy the summer outside, usually I love autumn, but I won't think about what will be in 2 months. I'm so tired of all of this. Article: Ryan Reynolds gushes over Mariah (98,501) by MusicfanJ from Germany That's so cool. I just saw the trailer on TV and to hear Mariah's "Fantasy" really makes me smile. The song still sounds fresh and fun with the one and only vocals by MC. So Fantasy was on "Rush Hour" now on the Ryan Reynolds movie. I think there was another one. Anyway I will never forget when Daydream came out, with Fantasy at number one and played every day on the radio and at MTV. What a wonderful time, carefree and happy just like "Fantasy". I believe because of severeal reasons, most have been discussed here. But you're right, maybe the hidden rock singing style was too much for her unique, soulful voice. (Saturday 17 July 2021; 12:59)
