Bryson Tiller x Mariah Carey - I Don't (Mashup) (76,367) by 123 from USA
I love this mash up. Both songs fit perfectly together. I hope they cooked up a great collaboration.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey is reportedly flirting with Drake (76,363) (76,364) by 123 from USA
Finally some gossip that will actually benefit her. Stella, make this happen. If you want to see real money roll in, watch what a quality song with Drake and Mariah on it skyrocket to the top. I want an uptempo club banger. Mariah, please work with Drake. She's never seemed to keen on him in the past but this collab has been needing to happen for a minute, just like the Miguel/Mariah collab that I needed to happen and when it did it peaked at number 15 (I still think it could have went top 10, maybe even number 1). I knew Beautiful was getting popular when I heard the little grade school girls singing it on their way home from school.

Re: Who would you pick (76,324) (76,350) by 123 from USA
Thanks for bringing her up, I will def look her up. If you have any go to songs I should hear let me know. I love discovering new music. I love most genres and my only requirement is that the music is good. I always admired Mariah for keeping her love life private, sans her marriage to Nick which was understandable to a limit, but I kind of blame it on Medina for trying to market her like JLo making it all about her love life. But with Mariah, people don't care who she dates, they care about the music. Funny you mentioned Sade when describing Kate because her name immedidately came to mind. Still obsessed with Moon and The Sky from her last album. I love Stevie Nicks. I'm obsessed with Stevie's Beauty and the Beast. These are the type of songs that pull at her heartstrings and resonate in your soul. Your quote is the reason for the current status of her public persona. "Nowadays pop music is more about the persona than the artistry. Most singers these days are unoriginal attention whores seemingly lacking any discernable talent. Mariah is very talented." She's adopting the current pop star model full tilt moving of LA and setting up a relationship with TMZ to make sure she is photographed and filled several times a week during various things which gives her milleage in the gossip rags. These days, you have to constantly keep yourself in the public eye because if you take a break you're a has been a year later. I get why she is doing it but can we get an era where she is actually going to promote full force again with high profile interviews, great tv performances of new music on every show, and a radio deal. She never skimps on the quality the songs on her albums, but she has to promote and have the song and video radio asap witha radio deal for the single. If it's a sure fire hit it will gain more spins after the deal especially whith great performances at least once a week. Great post.

Re: Forbes (76,333) (76,349) by 123 from USA
Showbiz Tonight claimed they knew for sure Mariah pulled 18 mil to Aretha when she threw her hat in to be a judge.
Interviewer: And she's going to be making 18 million for 1 year.
Aretha: You think so.
Interviewer: We know so.
Aretha: Do you know that, how do you know that?
Interviewer: Well we have it confirmed to someone very close to her.
Aretha: Ok inside sources, would that be her husband, wait he said 100 million.
Interviewer: She's the highest paid judge on tv.
Aretha: I would think they would have to compensate her for the lost of concerts for the year so those numbers could add up and accumulate.
I love this interview from Aretha, she throws shade upon shade upon shade. Lol. I would have wished the picked Aretha instead of Nicki.

Re: Who would you pick (76,317) (76,322) by 123 from USA
I agree with Madonna during the early 90's as well. Btw, Madonna has praised Mariah and vice versa. I need a duet from them, not many legends left. I guess I need to YouTube Kate Bush. Heard the name but I would have thought she was relative of Pres. Bush and co. Talent wise yes Katy Perry would be the complete opposite. Funny how she threw shade at Mariah saying she was "good for a throwback" in regards to who the biggest female artist is but then claimed to be a member of her Lambily when she went to her Vegas show. A select few get a shot at being the It Girl O'The Day, being compared to Michael and Mariah but poor thing is struggling now and blaming Taylor for sabotage because she released all her old music to streaming services the same day Katy's new album was dropped. Petty of TS, of course, but I think people aren't just feeling you this time around Kates. Meteorite indeed.

An icon I say. Lol. On a serious note, what concert did the entertainer get those pre-records from? I really liked them.

Re: Extra interview (76,294) (76,297) by 123 from USA
I actually thought it was a good interview. She came off sweet and she mostly kept it simple until the very end when she gushed about her kids. Monroe is already doing backgrounds for Mariah. I didn't see the "rambling" people were going on about. I'm glad she is getting back out there and who knows, she may be ready with something soon as she's been tweeting a lot of studio sessions in May.

Re: Mariah's World season 2 episode synopsis (76,278) (76,295) by 123 from USA
I would so watch this mess. I always said if they were going to do a reality show any fan on this board could come up with more entertaining story lines in our sleep. We would have the ratings up with our concocted shenanigans in no time. Ok, soooo here is my challenge for the board for laughs. If you were hired to "write" 8 episodes for Mariah's World season 2, post the synopsis of each episode here. If this becomes popular, the winning entry will be measured by upvotes?

Re: Re: 27 years today debut album (76,260) (76,262) (76,268) by 123 from USA
Single: Love Takes Time - This song really takes you to another place. The lyrics the melody, the vocal build, that brilliant bridge that crescendos with her hitting a high note over her belting the words, "Love takes time." I could see it on the second album but glad it ended up on the debut.
Album track: All Alone In Love - A great lyric, and the melody immediately puts you in a "haze". It would have been a great single.
Honorable mention: Prisoner - Had the general public heard this track, it would have showed Mariah's musical diversity to give you a timeless ballad and an uptemo freestyle type track where she even raps. Should have been a single as well. She should do an updated version for her concerts.

Re: You're Mine (Eternal) (76,239) (76,267) by 123 from USA
I love You're Mine. It seemed like Darkchild was keen on making a big hit with her listening to her greatest hits album, and instead he ripped off JD's sound and rehashed it. I wished the production was more stripped down like (Tuesday 13 June 2017; 04:20)
Re: Gay anthem? Gay icon (76,224) (76,240) by 123 from USA
She's a gay icon because the gay community made her one, you know the traditional way all female entertainers used to become one. Not for publically supporting the gay movement for good press and record sales. When men in drag dress like her and lip synch to her music on a Friday night, it doesn't matter what anyone says, her gay icon status has been cemented, whether you like it or not. I legendary one at that.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey on a shopping spree in Beverly Hills (76,126) (76,137) by 123 from USA
Mariah will forever have someone assist her when she walks after the 2013 accident. If you remember, for the Beautiful remix video (that we never saw the light of day of), she was in heels, got on top of a platform (probably after several splashes), lost her footing and thank God Nick caught her fall or it would have been worse per Mariah. She still ended up having nerve damage, dislocated shoulder, and cracked ribs. Before the accident, Mariah would run in heels. Perfect example here on the Behind the Scenes video of Loverboy. Fast forward to the 4:50 mark. Mariah says "So I'm going to run to my next set up." Someone tells her "easy, watch it" and Mariah responds while running in high heels, "Oh I know how to run in a heel honey, don't worry." David then talks about how Mariah is so carefree and her running in heels reminds him of aunt Margaret, a girl who likes to have fun when she works.

Re: Mariah speaks to Janet, Britney, Celine about NYE (76,086) (76,091) by 123 from USA
Celine: Soon I'm going to be a mentor on The Voice, Mariah I'm going to give you a cheap lesson.
Mariah: Celine I know you are French now but you are going to have to translate cheap to the Greatest Pop Star of the last two generations ok, can you imagine if I was still slaying vocally live? Dick Clark's broke ass couldn't possibly pay me enough.
Britney: Keep right on performing like that and you won't get non near another check, you won't move your hips or your lips and you want me to pay for it, [censored] that.
Janet: She has a point Mariah, if Britney can get up there and shimmy shimmy co co puff or whatever the [censored] she be doing, you can hold that damn mike to your face.
Dying at this dialogue.

Mariah Carey interview (parody) (76,076) by 123 from USA
If Mariah actually answered some questions this way I would love it. If you are going to do a reality series you might as well make it entertaining. "We had some off key moments but I lipped synched."

Re: 49 cents (76,055) (76,073) by 123 from USA
Many people have tried to discredit her #1s by saying she only has the amount she does because of discounted single prices. If this was the case, Mariah would have a lot more number ones as we all know that not all her singles reached the top spot. Billboard also went on record defending Mariah's record saying there was no foul play and if there was that Mariah would have had a lot more number 1s. People also forget that Mariah was with Virgin, not Columbia when Loverboy was discounted so that is proof that all record companies follow this strategy.

Re: I was born at night, not last night (75,962) (75,966) by 123 from USA
Hi Mimi L. Michael was killed by AEG for the insurance money. He only agreed to 10 shows but they booked him for 50 behind his back. The president of AEG, Michael's old manager who was fired in March of 09 because he didn't trust him and kept him from the outside world, who magically appeared on he day of his death to "speak on Michael's behalf". He was added to the insurance policy the day before his death. Dr Murray, whose job was to keep feeding Michael's addictions and reduce his health, the old Sony manager who magically "resurfaced" right before his death. That's why Latoya said in an interview that Dr Murray was just the fall guy that there were other involved. Do you remember the interview where Mariah said her and Michael had a conversation about dying before their time because many famous stars do, it's sad. You should watch the video I posted. It shows all the emails from AEG that got leaked, contracts and insurance polices, false testimonies that don't line up with the actual time line (they all admit they knew he wasn't breathing as they all called each other around 10:30am, but an ambulance wasn't called until 12:22pm once he was good and dead unfortunately). That's why Michael's mom sued AEG.

Re: I was born at night, not last night (75,925) (75,952) by 123 from USA
Mimi L and Ribbon B. Since Michael is being brought up I did some research and Michael's death was a pre-meditated murder for the insurance money and Sony catalog. AEG emails were released where they were abusing him and mistreating him. AEG President who admitted via email he slapped Michael, Michael's manager Dr Tohme Tohme, who was fired in March 09 because Michael didn't trust him, Dr Murray (the fall guy), and an old manager who worked for Michael during his early days with Sony who magically appeared right before his death. This video shows all the emails, video footage, and documents of this group of leeches actually planned his death. I wonder if Mariah knows this.

Re: I was born at night, not last night (75,925) (75,951) by 123 from USA
The Lifetime movie filmed from his security team's point of view was actually really good. I was expecting a horrible movie like the Whitney one but this one had all kinds of juicy details. Michael wasn't exactly broke, his finances were being controlled by the leeches. Remember that his card was not "declined", it was "not authorized". I kept forgetting the actor wasn't really Michael. He was that good. From Randy running into his gate and his father Joseph having to come check him. When Geraldo asked Michael in an interview which brother was top dog, Michael answered "Randy" and now I know why. The scene of him shooting the Jet cover showed a bunch of leeches around him, it made me think of Whitney's last days and Mariah's today. The movie made me want to watch more.

I did too but they actually interview people that were filmed during the time. Like the men that rescued the truck driver that was attacked and then hit with a brick. It's worth the watch even if you were around during that time.

Mariah Carey/Bruno Mars - Someday/Treasure (75,931) by 123 from USA
I love this. Mariah should just do an album full of songs that sound like they came from the Golden era of music and call it Throwbacks. This Mashup gives Someday a whole new life. Can't help but sing along. "You were so blind to let me go, you had it all but did not know. No one you'll find will ever be, closer to all your dreams than me." Growls included lol.

Thanks for the support Ribbon. Speaking of Rodney King, did you see the documentary of the LA Riots recently? They used all real footage and gave a descriptive play by play. It was really good.
