When Christmas Comes (48,191) by enwar00 from usa

Does anyone else love this song? This year it's my favorite track off MCIIY, I think I've had a different one every year. I prefer the solo version, because it's more Mimi, but I like that there's a festive video filled with happiness. Dem babies were so small.

MTV Unplugged (48,080) by enwar00 from usa
I just got the MTV Unplugged DVD in the mail today. I haven't seen this since I was a kid, and it's so phemomenal I want to cry. So raw and so real.

Mariah dance remix video megamix (47,924) by enwar00 from usa

I hope everyone is well. The Lenny Mariah mash up, which I loved btw, led me to this. Cool hearing some of these that I hadn't in years, 11 videos in 11 minutes, so I thought I'd share. I never even heard the Up Out My Face mix.

Which date are you all going to? I'm so tempted to fly out there to see this Christmas show.

I love your ideas. Especially about the musicians vs. dancers. You say corny, I say cheesy. Over them. I think she can add so much more to the songs with some killer or at least enhanced arrangements and more instruments, percussions, horns, whatever. If the vocals aren't always there, unfortunately and for whatever reason, why can't the music at least be tighter.
1. I love that she's mixing up the set lists. Go even further and bring out some random songs. The first that came to my mind, probably because we're talking about instruments, is You Need Me. Why not? Lol. Have an extended electric guitar solo. She can sip on some tea and rest her voice lol.
2. Stop pretending like you forgot the words to your song. I don't know if that was constructive. I'm just not buying that she forgot the same lyrics repeatedly.
3. I'll get back to it.

Billy from Greece and this_is_qhm (46,997) by enwar00 from usa
Billy, thanks for the response and video. It was cool seeing that one too with the different tour performances. It's crazy I barely remember anything from that concert besides the boxing ring, really was a long time ago huh? Plus they never put out a DVD or anything to remember it by. this_is_qhm, thanks for posting Heat, I'd never heard it before. I liked it.

Against All Odds (46,991) by enwar00 from usa

I never even knew there was a video for this, aside from the Westlife version. Although Rainbow remains one of my least favorite MC albums for some reason, in hindsight she sounds great here and I enjoyed watching this. Did anyone used to see this on tv?

Billy from Greece Say Somethin' (46,890) by enwar00 from usa
Hey Billy. That is so funny that you brought up Say Somethin' as this past week I listened to some mix cds from the mid 00s that were in a case I forgot about in my car, and the David Morales remix was on one I had made. One thing I realized in hindsight that I didn't in 06 was the scatting she kinda does towards the end, which reminded me of the Anytime You Need A Friend club remixes. Anywho, I love it, but from what I remember I wasn't a fan of the hip hop remix. Then during a long drive I had to do I listened to It's Like That Davis Morales mix, We Belong Together Peter Rauhoffer mix, a Shake It Off club mix I have no idea who by and it wasn't as popular, and then the Say Somethin' one so too bad I didn't have the Dont Forget About Us. I remember hearing that at the club every week for months, can't believe it's been so long ago. Actually Say Somethin' was the first song I heard from TEOM, I forgot about that, crazy because it only ended up being the last single and imo underrated.

Elusive tour dates thus far (46,835) by enwar00 from usa
As much as I want Mariah to tour the States again, I'm so happy for the fans and lambs of the land across the world, since she's been there less often.

MCIIY is sublime (46,683) by enwar00 from usa
I really needed to unwind and destress after work today, so it worked out perfectly that I had found and bought Merry Christmas II You a couple months back from a record store and still had it in the car. Needless to say it's doing the trick. I feel something extra magical in her voice on these songs that is both chill and tear inducing. I am moved and I don't care that it's still summer.

I'm with you on Anytime You Need a Friend. That is my favorite off Music Box and one of my all time faves. So emotional and stirring for me, especially after periods of not hearing it for awhile.

Battle of the bands (46,648) by enwar00 from usa
I love it, it's fun. It hasn't been too difficult to choose for me, and I so hope this tour comes to the U.S. Would anyone else choose these same three that I did?

MIAMTEC cd (46,457) by enwar00 from usa
Guess what everyone? I finally found my MIAMTEC cd after it was lost for two months. It was buried deep between the driver's seat and the center console of my car. I've only been able to listen to the album on my phone since then, so this week it's been looping over and over in my car on the stereo and it sounds so good.

How about don't retire (46,422) by enwar00 from usa
I may be the only person who feels this way, and maybe I'm selfish or delusional in comparison to other opinions, but if Mariah was to never sing live again or go on another talk show or ever chart again, I would be content with her just creating and sharing her music for many more years to come.

Kyle / Reswirl (46,420) by enwar00 from usa
Kyle I honestly hope you're right and that there's more to come from MIAMTEC. I've been thinking about that recently as well, since the songs have come to life for me the past week. I don't think there's anything wrong with making the most of it. I'm sure a lot of us want to see more commercial success for Mariah and it's fun when she's everywhere. With that said, I'm in love with this album and don't consider it a disaster just because of its sales.

Stacey, MIAMTEC lyrics (46,209) by enwar00 from usa
I was just going to post how the lyrics have suddenly taken a different meaning in light of this news and then I read Stacey's post. We can never know for sure, but some of them just seem to fit. Especially Faded, and it makes me think of when she called Nick the abondoner. And Camouflage. Even Cry. and Thirsty. It's like the album has suddenly come to life, and if anything it resonates more, yet it's making me super sad to listen to it because the pain could have been current vs. in the past. Or maybe I'm reading way too much into it.

Separation confirmation (46,202) by enwar00 from usa
I read on Yahoo that Nick Cannon confirmed they've been separated since May, or something along those lines. I'm sorry to hear this, and am truly sad for them, because it makes me think of how happy Mariah was just 5-6 years ago after they were married. It's crazy how much you can care about someone you don't even personally know, yet do know in a lot of ways because she has shared so much of herself through her music.

Gilbert (46,171) by enwar00 from usa
I love that you called the Fantasy intro sci fi. Surprise surprise that you want her to sing the whole song. Are those other three your faves as well? Meteorite has some sci fi elements to me.
