I'm a fan of Mariah since Daydream came out.

"Her" style in the short clips [is] also not my taste. The stylist could really do better. Mariah with volumenius hair, classy dress or jeans is just gorgours and beautiful. But I do concentrate of the song. Lol.

I love EFA so much. One of her best songs ever. Agree the snippets are very enjoyable. Can't stop listening. That song is magical. Jojo was also great.

Yup the same here. I think we all hate that pic. It's so weird. I also wonder what they still have about her, all the things. I don't wanna see it, but I also think Mariah should talk a little about it so that they can't "win". I thought that chapter is over.

Yes Bill that was so embarrassing to watch. I live in a wine region and to enjoy one or two classes of good wine is very normal. Of course not every day. But if I had a voice like Mariah I would drink as few as possible. To be on camera not sober during an award winning speech, you must have a little problem. I mean at the afterparty OK, but before? Just no. During the nightmare era it was clear that the clan of the Crustella witch were encouraging her "bad habits". You need real friends who will tell you the truth and more importantly like already mentioned you need to see your problem and want to change it.

"But there was a definite turning point between the last night of the Daydream tour and the promotion for Butterfly in 1997" that's what I think too. Something happened. Don't get me wrong, her voice during Butterfly was still phenomenel, but it seemed harder for her to hit her "special Mariah notes". During the Daydream tour she was singing like it's the easiest thing to do. I'm still overwhelmed when I listen to "Anytime you need a friend" from Tokyo. Out of this world.

New Bond song (92,865)
by MusicfanJ from Germany

I love Bond songs (except the one with Madonna). I have just heard the new one. And I thought wouldn't it be cool, if Mariah will make a Bond theme song in the future? What do you think?

I also wish she would tell the truth about it. She will always be the voice no matter what happened. But if Mariah would talk about it the annoying rumours will stop. Funny side note, I dreamed about MC last night. I was visiting a concert of hers and it felt so real. Lol Mariah is the only artist I sometimes dream about. I think that tells a lot.

Finally I watched it. It was a pleasure to watch Shakira. So much postive energy. Shakira looked sexy and very natural. The complete opposite from J.Lo, the custumes cheap and everything looked so forced. I also didn't like the spanish rappers. The daugther was cool and sweet. But again Shakira was so great. Never been a fan of her voice but she seems so nice and has a great aura. (What a natural beauty.) And the songs are fun to listen to and dance to. I Just read "Whenever, wherever" is at number one in US. That's cool, better than all the new stuff on the charts. I also think Mariah shouldn't do a Superbowl Show, but yes for the anthem. MC rocks the anthem like nobody. Goosebumbs guranteered.

The music industry is really down. The Grammys are a joke. I just watchted the winners on TV, most of the winners I didn't know (luckily) but if that strange girl get's all the awards for the "music" oh my. Where have all the great artists gone? Sadly most are truly "gone" or have retired. Adele and Ed Sheeran are gold compared to the winner, the same with Bruno Mars.

"Caution is nowhere near the musical or lyrical masterpiece that is Butterfly." That's so true. I love Caution musically, but the lyrics makes me cringe sometimes too. That's oK, it can be fun. But that's the difference. "Butterfly" is on another liga. It's like a poetical music journey. Brilliant.

Wow congrats to the one and only Mariah Carey. She must be so proud. She just wrote something on Instagram/Facebook because of the nomination. By the way she looks so beautiful. I believe it's one of her bigggest achievements as an artist. More than every other award she already has. She deserves it so much. As always a pleasure to read your post Bill. I also like "I had a vision of love". That's where it all started and yes I want to know everything about her early years musically too. That's where the magic happened. I would lie If I say I'm not interested in Mariah's private stuff, but as many of you said, I don't believe she's willing to leave La La Land yet. So I want to know about her songs, her early start to stardom and her experiences in New York City.

Just listened to it. I'm sure for most of the teens it sounds good. But it doesn't. It is so bad, that it could be a parody of a song or something like that. It's a shame that you can make money with that trash music, but I guess that's what today's customers want to hear. No talent, no voice is needed anymore. A mirror of the modern society.

I'm not surprised. The current "hits" on the charts are so bad. Today I had a post on my timeline with the title "number ones in 99 and 2019". And everybody were talking about how trashy today's songs are. I swear it all sounded the same, no emotion, poor production. It is a torture for the ears. Even not everything was good in 99 (the Bubblegum-Pop) but even those songs are way better than today's garbage on the charts. I'm so happy to have witnessed the good times. 80ies and 90ies were the best, I even prefer the oldies from 60ies and 70ies. For example I googled Bilie Ellish, horrible. I had to quit after 30 seconds listening to it. Luckily we can listen to the good old stuff anytime.

How I love the "Homecoming Special". She seemed to have so much fun plus she looked stunning and sounded great. The high school kids were also really cool and her old classmate Chuck. I can't tell how often I have watched the special, one of the bests.
