My All June 21st (63,723)

She threw everything but the kitchen sink into this performance. It's funny because when the pre-record comes on it sounds inferior to her live vocals in this song. You really feel the emotion in this performance. I love it that she is growling again, it gives me early 90's Mariah nostalgia. She needs to change up the rest of her songs like this and let the emotion take her over when she sings.

I like her little conversations with the audience before the song. Sounds like she really tried to belt higher on this night since John was in the audience. Hopefully they went to the studio upstairs in her room after the show and recorded something.

I'm hoping after the show they went up to her penthouse in Vegas, got in the studio and worked on a record together.

Sorry Giovanni but I will have to disagree with you. Vegas caused Mariah to finally put in work on the live portion of her career. With three shows a week she was going to either sink or swim and she decided to swim. Initially Mariah was worried about having to do 3 shows a week but now that she's worked on her voice she says it's nothing for her. I want her to continue to do Vegas as it's done wonders for her live performances. Vegas is no longer where legends go to retire. Chris Brown is a young hot artist and he has had a residency out there as well. I read an article that said word around Vegas is that Mariah is sounding like the 90s and the guy went to watch her and raved about TGIFU and posted it for others to watch. Isn't it great that her live vocals are getting her positive press instead some staged TMZ video. It also makes her accessible to the public to go and watch her. I don't mind her being queen of Vegas since Elvis is the king. Lol.

I think what Mariah meant to say was when there was some "tomfoolery" being filed, she is now where around to keep "above the fray" of any reali, I mean docu-series drama.

I love Chante Moore. Highly underrated and over qualified. She's another one Kelly Price used to shade Mariah and then turned on because she was insecure and jealous of. She admitted it in the reunion to the Divas show they were on together. Are you referring to this performance by Chante? I love her. Wish she and Mariah would perform together or do a record. It would be great to see what they would come up with vocally.

I think she has been focusing on improving the rest of her voice for that very reason. Instead of hiding behind her whistle register she seems to have decided to become disciplined again on caring for her voice. When she sings in full voice her tone sounds buttery and fluid now. Even though her belts aren't very high, they sound clear, resonant, and stronger than before. She's even holding some belts now instead of touching the note and sounding dry. I rather her continue to work on her voice and regain some of her higher belting range then a bunch of notes in the whistle register. I rather she go back to using it creatively as a background instead of in your face.

What’s going on? (63,401)
by 123 from USA

What's going on with our board that used to be so exciting and fun to read all the different vantage points. No one else understood my fandom for Mariah, except for a couple of other "lambs" I've met along the way. I discovered this board in 2012. It seems like we have all been sucked into just complaining and criticizing lately. Remember back when MIAM was about to get released. Everyone complained about her being surrounded by "yes" men. She cleaned house and it seems like there are more complaints although there is plenty of room for improvement and reasons for concern. Then she gained weight and started having embarrassing performances where her live vocals were shot. She's lost the weight and has improved vocally and started to act like a performer again on stage and still more complaints. Then she finally went on an international tour that I've seen plenty of lambs request and then complaints about the tour. Then requests for her to get back to her day job and record new music and she announces it on the radio and not a peep from anyone showing excitement for new material. Nothing about who she should work with, duets, nothing. Of course there is room for improvement in all areas of her career but it seems it seems like the bashing and complaining has taken over. Am I the only one seeing this?

Are celebrities required to tweet every single time a tragedy happens? And if they don't, its safe to assume that they don't care? Am I one of the few that really doesn't care that she didn't tweet about it? What does a damn tweet really mean? Is it supposed to make those who lost someone feel better that "Mariah Carey" sent her condolences? If I had lost a loved one in that club, I could care less about which celebrity sent their condolences. It is not going to bring my loved one back. Is social media and what happens in this pretend internet world really that important to some of us? Maybe we need to step away from our electronic devices a little more, myself included. What if they have a benefit concert for the surviving family members to help them bury their loved ones. All of these people were young so I doubt most of them had life insurance policies. What if Mariah ends up taking apart of this hypothetical concert like she did for Hurricane Sandy. Wouldn't that be more beneficial to those that lost someone? More sincere? What if she does say something or better yet, take part of an event that would actually benefit the surviving family members, would anyone that was quick to judge her make a post taking back what they said? Some won't in my opinion because they seem to relish in the negative and point out every wrong move her and her team do. Instead of judging a celebrity, which is very superficial in a time like this, why don't we all say a prayer for those who lost someone.

Mariah Carey #1 to infinity June 10 highlights (63,297)

Nice vocals on Vision Of Love, One Sweet Day (go Trey), My All. TGIFY just keeps getting better and better. Her voice sounds so full, and her transitions are so sick, I can only imagine how she sounded in person.

Wow Mariah. She stuck her foot in this performance. She sounds so comfortable singing this song now. Her notes are so fluid. It's funny how her live notes on this song sound better then the pre-records. I say sing it all live now and make it another live center piece of the show. I cannot wait to hear how she sung the song last night. I guess if you are ever going to see Mariah perform, vocally, this would be a great year to do it.

She is sounding even better than the first night. I'm happy that she is at least re-focused on all aspects of her career (voice, image, promotion, new projects) and I'm glad she is getting back to recording new music. Looks like they listened to someone's suggestion and matched her ostrich feather coat with a body suit while singing Vision of Love. Here is IDWC. Glad she seems to be working in more live notes and sounding good at it.

Re: Mariah's Snapchat (63,266) (63,282)

Mariah has been getting sauced up and flirting with grown men since 97. We've seen the pictures and heard the stories, it's just becoming more apparent since we are now seeing video of it. She loves the attention her snatched body gets. She loves being a tease. Wow Mariah, you do look good, where did you get that booty? Did you grow it or was it just a tasteful fat transfer procedure? Posting these private moments don't put her in the best light as it continues to perpetuate polarizing views about her. A more mature audience may call her a "drunken skank" like someone said previously, while the kids will think she is cool because she's sauced up, being flirtatious, serving body, playing old school music, showing off her diamonds, and eating pizza. It seems like she is trying to attract a much younger audience these days. I'm not judging as I can party just as hard, I just don't post any of the evidence for people to see, lol. Thank you for posting these Mimi L.

Mimi L. I love you, but um, what is really wrong with this picture other than it's blurry. I thought it was an artistic way of presenting chaos. I need you to please slow down. You are blowing up at a 13 year old over a blurry picture. I actually like the picture, Mariah found her light and hit the right angle. For an artist who hardly, who only likes to be seen as sexy and perfect, this is a nice change. I would love for her to do an artistic photo shoot like she did in 2003 where she did music throughout the years. I do agree with you with the tired postings of a shady lamb wearing an "I still don't know her" shirt.

Mariah Carey on people stealing her music (63,231)

I like how she lit up when they finally asked her about music. Stop trying to corrupt her, she has no business in a buffet. Flavors is the best buffet anyway, Ceasar's buffet is overrated.

Mya interview (63,201)
by 123 from USA
| |
|
|
I love this interview by Mya. They ask her great questions regarding her career, why she stopped dealing with major labels, her learning how to mix albums herself, the difference in the music industry from the 90's versus today. She is so eloquent and her responses are both knowledgeable and interesting. It would be great if she could be asked these types of questions instead of the same ones about being a rich successful celebrity. I miss her doing these types of interview where she can show how knowledgeable she is about the business and how she feels about the business today versus in the 90's.

Hello Randy, I do understand what you are saying and it is all valid, but the timing of this carpool karaoke at that point in her life wasn't right. Remember that this was a year ago where she was still in those years where she lost her passion for her career and regiment to care for her voice since 2008. Had she filmed that carpool today, for sure she would have sang. I don't remember the last time she has had this many live performances in the past six months and only having one really rough vocal night when she performed at the Unicef ball. From the opening night of this latest Vegas leg it sounds like she is going to continue to stay consistent vocally especially since she is planning on recording new material while she is there. I do agree with Andrew that she should go back on there and do the Emotions intro. Something to go viral.

He Enwar. I know. She does that to LTT, IDWC, and Someday. She flies through the first five songs. Watching it in person it's like a whirlwind but so worth it. Selena? What songs are you listening to? I was just listening to Captive Heart for that vocal nostalgia showing she had chops even in English. I wish she would have been able to be with us a little longer to see what she would have done musically.

Hi Mi Todo Chop. I love that song. It was the song where I fell in love with her as an artist. My cousin used to play it all the time and had the Mariah Carey tape. She would reply the bridge over and over again, just that part. It's one of her most legendary bridges that really takes the song to another level. Her voice sounds so good. Light years from when I saw her last July. It's so nostalgic to see her sing it and IDWC.
