#Beautiful still growing (38,299) by enwar00 from usa For me personally, I like how they're allowing the song to grow and build week after week, releasing an explicit video here, a remix there, rather than rushing out a second single. It seems to be more enjoyable, for me, and is definitely building up the anticipation for the album. Like it's making the era last longer. I know a lot of this is based on how a song is performing and is being received, but I feel like a couple years ago in general it seemed like a second single was being rushed more often and earlier prior to an album's release. Stacey (38,164) by enwar00 from usa I was thinking the same thing today, how #Beautiful is comparable to ILT chart-wise, so far at least, and can be setting up the album in the same way. I was wondering what the second single is going to be. Are they going to go with a ballad a la WBT? Seems played out and kind of killed momentum with the last couple albums, no? You never know though, because ballads have been scoring on the charts recently. Or will they break the formula and just go with a killer song regardless of tempo. It's kind of exciting thinking of this and the possibilities. For some reason though, I still feel like ILT was a bigger hit than this one has been, not sure why. (Friday 7 June 2013; 1:06)

Examiner (37,877) by enwar00 from usa I don't believe the hype. Although I'm only familiar with Examiner based on articles where they've mostly talked smack about her that I've seen on this site, it seems like tabloid fare. She's not the only artist that's received airplay with these top of the hour radio promos. Other big artists like Justin Timberlake and Madonna had similar promos with recent singles. It serves its purpose. As far as discounting singles back in the day to 49 cents, I do remember that, lucky me. Guess what, it was so not just her singles that were discounted. Plenty other artists did as well. I'm assuming record companies decided all that, not the artist. Lame article. (Thursday 16 May 2013; 9:28)

I Still Believe (36,966) by enwar00 from usa I feel like this is one of Mariah's songs that doesn't get a lot of attention. It's one of my all-time faves, I love it. I love the remixes and the variety of them. I love the video, the vivid colors and Mariah looks beautiful. Again surprised none of the remixes made it onto The Remixes. Since this has come up again, I thought I'd join in. I wonder if any of these have changed over time. Vanishing, Sent From Up Above, To Be Around You, The Wind, Music Box, I Am Free, Melt Away, Fourth Of July, Close My Eyes, Lead The Way, All My Life, Subtle Invitation, Circles, Your Girl, too many to list from E=MC2, Ribbon, More Than Just Friends. Re: Stacey (36,961) by enwar00 from usa Yes, I used to love the Def Club Mix or whatever of Always Be My Baby. They used to play it on the radio on the daily and I remember being so annoyed that it wasn't released on cd in the U.S. I literally bought the 12" record and found someone with a record player and then recorded it on cassette. I feel like for whatever reason it wasn't as popular as the other dance mixes because it wasn't #1 and isn't on The Remixes but should be. Maybe it was too long lol. Don't Forget About Us (36,951) by enwar00 from usa Hey Zachary, I don't know if I would say I like it more specifically during Christmas time, but I do love that song any time of the year. It's crazy, in hindsight this many years later I could say it's my favorite song off Emancipation. To me, it's smooth and flows more than We Belong Together. I do remember it was popular this time of year, even remember when they like world premiered it on the radio. I think the video is hot too and adds to the same mood of the song, I really like it. I feel like it's been awhile since so many of us were in agreement to this extent on something, and for it to be in a positive and festive light, I think that's pretty cool. Re: Paul/ Morocco (36,840) by enwar00 from usa I watched the Morocco concert a couple months ago and really enjoyed it. I do remember during Underneath The Stars I was like this sounds and felt a little sad, but at least she was singing one of her favorites and something different. I've seen Mariah on every tour that she's brought to the States, and I have to say during Angels Advocate I was impressed with how awesome she sounded, even on older songs like Emotions. The crowd pretty much went nuts. Just my opinion. But I'd have to vote no to the hanging up of the mic. (Wednesday 28 November 2012; 7:33)

It reminded me of her Russian Roulette video, or maybe it's just the fact that the song is also of slower tempo. I don't dislike the Triumphant video or even other ones that are really hated by fans like I'll Be Loving You Long Time. I like them, maybe I'm a sucker, what can I say? Love Takes Time (36,671) by enwar00 from usa Now Love Takes Time video is on VH1 Soul. Two Mariah videos in two hours, not a bad night lol, except I can't sleep.
