Trash/" I haven't read this chapter yet, but it's indeed annoying if Celine Dion is criticized that way. She was always nice to Mariah. Nobody is usually listening to music because of an ethnicity. A good voice is a good voice. Are we living in the 50ies? Of course it's all a matter of taste with music but to say Celine was doing wrong at the concert is ridiculous. I was thinking the whole evening about some things. To listen to "Petals" will be hard the next time. But I'm excited to read more. I like that the songs are included with explainings. After the first listen I really feel like back to the good old days. It feels like a complete new album but with just the best of the best. The Firecracker version is fantastic and hot. "Can you hear me", "All I live for" are my new favourites. And "Cool on you", "Mesmerized", "Lullaby of Birdland" and of course "Out here on my own". What a gift for her fans. Cheers. Here we go around again (95,948) by MusicfanJ from Germany This is such a fun and happy song. I love the carefree mood of it and the Jackson 5 vibes. I'm also addicted to "Lullaby of Bidland". Jazz-Mariah should be the next thing. I haven't heard the complete album yet because I'm waiting for the physical CD. I was smiling the whole video, at the end there was a tear and then smiling again. I swear Mariah is taking my "Corona Blues" away. She gives me hope again. What a woman, what a voice. I was really surprised back then. But now it makes even more sense. Mariah is music, she can do all genres. That's phenomenal. What's up next? I'm done and super excited. How could she she keep it for so long? It's easily my new favourite song. So much emotion, that's why I love her. MC is really blessing us with "the rarities" at these dark times. The album will surprise us all. Mariah made this song her own. It suits perfect. Thanks Irena Cara for inspiring Mariah at a very young age. (Saturday 19 September 2020; 19:37)

Without You (95,537) by MusicfanJ from Germany Hi all, I know there are more interesting things going on right now with all the releases but I just wanted to share this little "story". I watched a show called the best love songs of the 90ies. Like every time Mariah was on it, number 7 or 8. What was a surprise that everyone (German actors and other celebreties) were talking only positive about Mariah. One said she loves her athletic singing with emotions that speaks to everybody, the actor said he has loved her voice since the first listen. That's how it looks. (Sunday 13 September 2020; 19:24)

I have a feeling it will be like in the older days, when listening to new Mariah songs were a pure pleasure with "Daydream" moments. I also wonder how the "Close my eyes" version will sound. Paradoxically, Mariah wrote more mature and cohesive lyrics when she was 20 than now when she's more mature." That's how I think too. Especially with her songwriting. Her lyrics are a part of the magic of Mariah Carey. A true poetic. When I compare her older lyrics with the new ones I really wonder as well. (Wednesday 26 August 2020; 20:01)
