I'm really rooting for her, that's why you care this much, but I hope she and her sycophant fans that she employs will realize that memes' life cycle is a week, tops. It sounded monotonous, repetitive, bland and uninspiring. Her impressive vocal runs that made her famous are gone and it got replaced by those vocal squeaks when she attempts to belt. She's back doing her high-pitched whisper-mumbles that doesn't sound like what radio would play today. It doesn't sound catchy at all. I remember when Say Something leaked in 2005, ahead of the TEOM release and I thought "Wow I like it", but this ain't SS. She doesn't half-ass her performances and also doesn't wear just gowns that make her look matronly. Plus, she still looks young and that appeals to the younger crowd. Furthermore, she has a better public image compared to some. She may not be a good singer, but that's alright, because she's a joy to watch and she doesn't look like a heavily medicated couch that needs to be propped and be assisted to move around on stage.
