Re: DVD compilation of Mariah's SNL performances (92,221) (92,231)

I wonder why she didn't return to SNL from 1992 to 1996? Did she not get invited to perform during that period? Or maybe she's too big for the show (she was in her peak around the aforementioned years)?

Tom Webster pretty much articulated everything that I feel and think about this video. Also, I would much rather watch a car crash aftermath than watch the Auld Lang Syne video.

They're mostly "randos" and nobodies who look like they don't belong in Mariah's following list.

Could be. I just hope that whoever is Mariah's current social media admin will clean out her 'following' list, because it ain't pretty. Her Twitter account makes more sense.

Mariah's IG (91,073)
by 90sMariah from SG

I've noticed that Mariah is following some of the most random people on Instagram. Out of curiosity I scrolled through them and you'd think she was hacked and then followed accounts that aren't even fan accounts.

Re: Celine Dion (90,957) (90,971)
by 90sMariah from SG

All that, plus Celine has not been involved in multiple lip sync scandals and bad performances like Mariah has. I mean, we all know Celine lip syncs, but she's so good at it that you can't tell if you're just a casual concert goer. Also, if need be Celine can still sing well; maybe not as well as she used to, but she can still when she's asked to sing and not be dodgy or awkwardly scared about doing it (ie Carpool karaoke and the like).

Re: Mariah and Ellen (90,751) (90,756)

Just to play devil's advocate, maybe Ellen isn't really feeling Mariah because of how Mariah almost always never answers questions? I guess after several visits, Ellen's totally over it. I'm not defending Ellen, if I'm being honest I only watch her when Mariah's on; too much screaming women every few seconds hurt my ears. Also, Ellen is not funny. Never has.

Because Mariah never answers questions. Every time she gets asked a question, she always reverts to her long-winding, whispering-to-herself-while-covering-her-mouth rambles. She rambles a lot, and the personality that the lambs find endearing about her just doesn't translate well on TV and to the people watching at home. If I hear another reference to her 500-hour beauty school experience one more time... I can't, I just can't.

Ew (90,259)

Just to hold you once again is a total filler track, not to mention the words are lazy and super corny. That song is cringe. I never liked it.
Even though you're not my lover, baby (ew) Even though you're not my friend I would give my all just to have you here Just to hold u once again
Ew.

Re: Who she'd rather? (90,104) (90,110)
by 90sMariah from SG

Not going to happen. She would rather wear flats than have her name next to any of those women in a single or album. Besides, even in her vocal peak she had never thought of doing a duet with female Singers at the time, until Whitney of course. And that wasn't even her idea, they were both tricked into agreeing to do the duet, which I am thankful for. Let's face it, she'd rather feature female rappers than singers, especially now that she's at her most insecure vocal wise.

Mariah reaching out on Twitter (90,088)

I seldom go on Twitter anymore, but last week or was it two weeks ago when she RT'd a response to someone's tweet re: Miley Cyrus using MC initials and Mariah responded by tagging Eye Patch (Madonna) and the Nasal Chimpunk. Did she even get a response?

She's so gracious. But I doubt the duet will ever happen because Mariah is too insecure about her voice now and she knows that Celine will swallow her whole when and if they perform their duet live.

I am actually quite pleased with the songs she had performed on her Dallas concert. I was happy to watch her perform some of her more obscure songs instead of her usual top 10 ones. Keep it, Mariah. Congrats. And thank you.

I used to like Gaga, until I watched 5'2. Man, she's melodramatic, embarrassingly needy and she comes of as fake. I still cringe during that scene with her grandma when she told her that she wrote a song for her aunt who died in the 60s or 70s (?) and she played her gran the song and while she cries non-stop, her gran was just sitting there nodding politely probably thinking her grand daughter's insane. Her granny then told her to not worry about her aunt Joanne anymore because it happened a long time ago and that she's now at peace. She's so fake.

It's not cute, it's fact. Go on Reddit to find out how much they've hated it and how they've brigaded to down vote the video. The halftime memes on how NFL and Maroon 5's inability to deliver the petition (which got 1. 5 million petition on change.org, btw) to play Sweet Victory were trending the whole day today.
