About MusicfanJ from Germany: I'm a fan of Mariah since Daydream came out.

Re: Bipolar (81,753) (81,755) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I am watching the news on tv, and even there it is a "headline". I couldn't believe my eyes while reading it. As most of you I thought something is "wrong" during the last two years. It was so obvious. But that she shares this with the public is really a step I wouldn't thought of. How brave to share such a private thing. I really hope the people will understand her a little more and won't judge her for it. Mental things are still some kind of a taboo. If your arm is broken, everybody will feel sorry for you, but if there's a mental thing a lot of people just don't understand it. Anyway I wish her the best, that she can feel happy again and that the new people take care of her and she for herself. We you Mariah. The lambily is so proud of you.

Yes, I know there's a news section. I read it daily. Today I just stared with the message board first and then I saw the news with this topic. So no more speculation about "Hostelworld". I'm up to date now.

I haven't seen it before. Thanks for sharing, it is hilarious. I have no idea where it's from, could it be new? [Webmaster: Did you know this website also has a news section?]

Re: "E=MC2" - ten years (81,694) (81,697) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Billy your post was just awesome. I love E=MC2 so much and you described her feelings and everything during that time perfect. I still have "For the record" on repeat too. The lyrics and melody is getting me everytime. ευχαριστώ for rembering the greatness of that album.

Re: We're Not Making Love Anymore (81,693) (81,695) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I hope so. The snippet is so great, the complete song must be even greater. When will we get those unreleased gems? Please Mariah, release your "old treasures".

Re: Someone I hope Mariah will work with: Felix Jaehn (81,676) (81,678) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Please not. I think they won't work together. I have nothing against him, he makes radio-friendly music. So it would be ok/nice if he makes a house remix, but not a regular song.

Re: Aeon commercial - 1998 (81,649) (81,663) by MusicfanJ from Germany
That commercial is one of her best. She's so beautiful and natural on it. I like all her Japanese commercials. The one for Nescafe where "Fantasy" is playing is also very sweet.

Re: The greatest album closing track (81,633) (81,636) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I also choose EFA. Never heard anything like it. I love it so much. This song plays in another league. MC herself never "created" something like it again. It's a timeless track for music lovers. My second favorite is "Looking in" followed by "Love takes time". "Outside" and "TGIFY" are great too but it depends on my mood.

Re: Mariah IG birthday pic (81,573) (81,578) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"Looking like he needed to be in a stroller like the twins". Haha Licia too funny. I always enjoy your humor. I find the IG birthday pic beautiful, but I also prefer Mariah with less make-up. MC is truly a natural beauty.

Happy birthday to the one and only Mariah. I'll enjoy your music tonight and have a drink on you. Cheers dahling. I hope she has a wonderful day with her beloved ones. MC keep shining, we love you.

Re: "Rainbow" era (81,526) (81,529) by MusicfanJ from Germany
No you're not. I love it too. It's really an untypical Mariah song. The chorus is a little crazy and so on, but it's great with the lyrics and the vibe.

Re: Packer breakdown (81,518) (81,519) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"Mimi acts like she is just skating along after three years of self imposed mess." So true. I also hope her "help" won't be seen and heard no more. Oh, I guess Mr. Packer is like many rich persons a lonely one. If he has a real depression, that's bad. More and more people, famous and normal ones get that illness. Mimi please let that ring in your house or anyway. Mariah shines without diamonds.

Re: The girl who lives inside the golden world (81,482) (81,488) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes, Mariah may be a diva sometimes but she's never ever not nice to people. Everybody who met her says, she's the nicest and sweetest person you can imagine. Andrew if you believe she's not why do you "like" her? Only because of the music? Anyway I know people who met her, and everybody was having a really good time meeting her. You don't why she was late. James C. is a lucky man to have met her. To wait in her house sounds like a fantastic day. And he "got" a candle. Great. It's almost funny and sad that the topic is a sentence from "Looking in".

Re: More clusters (81,440) (81,441) by MusicfanJ from Germany
this_is_qhm from the Philippines, great clusters. They are so good, I'll copy them to put them into my playlist. The different themes and songs are perfect for any kind of mood. That's one thing I love about Mariah.

Re: The remix (81,418) (81,419) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I didn't know there was a new rule with the remixes. Interesting. But that explains a lot. I'm lucky as well to have experienced the time where a remix was a real remix. (Sometimes even better than the original song.)

Re: Packer (81,395) (81,397) by MusicfanJ from Germany
That's true. Who wouldn't leave if Stella and the circus is around? It's very frightening. I was frightened just to look at the pics at that time. Reminds me how good it is that she is gone with her clan.

Re: Videos (81,390) (81,394) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Hi Edward, I think a lot of the lambily like Nick Cannon. I always thought Mariah and him look like a nice, sweet couple. She was always smiling and seemed very happy. Nobody will ever know the true reasons why it didn't last, it's private so everyone is just speculating including me. It's great that the kids have loving parents. I just don't like how he spoke in the past in some interviews about Mariah. There was one interview I won't repeat what exactly he said, but it was nothing a gentleman would say and tell the public. And I don't believe he had no chance to do right. Family should always be first, not the tv jobs. Let the people talk. He knew that she's one of the most famous singers in the world. Not easy, for any man. There are so many examples where the women were more famous and more powerful which lead to problems: Arthur Miller/Marylin Monroe, Richard Burton/Liz Tyler, Bobby Brown/Whitney Houston just to name a few. It has nothing to do with the skin colour or nationality. Like you have mentioned even a billionaire like James Packer couldn't handle it. I leave this topic that Mariah is no saint but Nick is also not only the almighty/Mr. Incredible ok?

Re: "My All" (Divas Live) (81,383) (81,389) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Love it too, it's a legendary concert. I watched it on tv, was it 98? I still have it on a VHS cassette. I feel old haha. Since then I love it. I totally agree, she was rocking the stage, a true diva. Everything was on point. The other divas/singers were great too. Good times.

Re: Videos (81,379) (81,384) by MusicfanJ from Germany
All the things Nick said during that time were so tasteless and hurtful. Imagine your husband would talk like that. It's not acceptable. I think even as a comedy act/entertainer it's completely wrong to talk about those private things. We all know Mariah hates it like nothing else. So maybe to be more "provocative" at the end was his plan like "the real deal" on this board said. I still think Nick was a bit starstruck from the beginning and realized that Mariah is only human with mistakes like everyone else. To be called Mr. Carey and took a back seat is not easy as well. But no surprise. That she trusted a self-exposer with a big mouth is hard to understand. Well must have been love.

Re: Videos (81,372) (81,375) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Ribbon B. you're right "Faded" and "Cry" are also obvious. I always get a little sad if I listen to them. I usually love her sad, longing songs but with the slow songs on MIAMTEC it's different because of the divorce in real life. And I still wonder if "Don't explain" was a "message" or not. I hope the new album has more songs with a positive energy. To quote Licia, "To be fair lets put all her wrong doings on the table too." That's true, they are both grown-ups and they both made mistakes I guess. If they are all happy or at least ok with the situation, that's fine.

Re: Videos (81,364) (81,368) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I read an interview where Nick said that he was "addicted" to instagram and that's why he deleted it. Now I'm pretty sure that "Thirsty" is about him. The same with "Camouflage". Anyway I think the whole family situation is not so easy for MC like it seems. It looks like they are "co-parenting" very well but that Nick has become father again and didn't stay with his ex (the model) only shows that he is the womanizer everybody was telling from the beginning. The day will come when Monroe will ask more questions. (Why her beloved parents are not together anymore and so on.) I mean family things are often difficult but if your parents are famous, that's another thing. So enough said about those "private things".

Re: Samples (81,348) (81,351) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Licia you have a great taste. Just like Mariah. Honestly I didn't know most of the songs Mariah used for a sample, but I discoverd a lot of them. They are all fantastic. At the moment I really enjoy "Funkin' for Jamaica" by Tom Browne. MC's version "Don't stop" is still grooving. "Last night a DJ saved my life" is also such a classic tune.

Re: Outtake vocals (81,345) (81,350) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yeah I wish that too. I was watching "The ones" [sic] DVD and I am still amazed of her older videos and live performances. Never tired of it (after watching a hundred times.) Lol. If I think of the hidden gems, that would be a dream if they get released. Plus the "Charmbracelet tour" DVD. Mariah owns this "treasure" there must be a way to release a cd plus DVD package with rare and hidden music for her fans.

It's so good, I repeated the "oohs" too. Just wow, I need more of this. This outtake shows the unique "Mariah-tune". I also wonder who leaks it?

Re: It's oh so quiet (81,222) (81,223) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Lara great quote, it's true. I also think if Mariah would explain the situation or why she doesn't want to sing some people would maybe understand. But like many on this board said, she can do what she wants to, that is something she has achieved most people can't. And it's also true that people expect a singer to sing (even her fans seems to expect it). Personally I think no one should be forced to sing at a birthday party, another vip event or a tv show if the singer doesn't want to. But I agree it would be nice to know some reasons or feelings from her. One thing is clear, to be 28 years in the music biz as a global superstar leaves traces. The advice with "press delete" is very good, I'll press repeat and enjoy Miss Mariah.
