You seem to know a lot about his intentions. If you'd been around as long as me you'd know that he paid for his sister's first demos and made the Gavin Christopher and Ben Marguiles hook up. Maybe I'm missing something but it looked to me like he was just upset Mariah and their mother didn't visit Alison when they were taking her off life support and that he was hoping that now that Alison was out of the woods that she'd do the Christian thing and help her sick sister once again. I probably got it wrong. Thanks for clearing it up.

Who are we kidding? The way Mariah acts, dresses, and conducts herself in public, do you think she is actually embarrassed by anything?

I think it's so strange how we see this sort of very odd behavior over and over again from Mariah and yet her brother and his wife seem so happy, natural, and down to earth.

Sorry but too little too late, we all know it. She realized it was going to cost her and she had to climb out of her lavish bubble and say something almost a day later. On another note, a friend just texted me to ask if I knew Stella's company is called "Wikked". How appropriate. Evidently this whole witchcraft element is nothing new. In one of Mariah's earliest interviews she mentions her mother's interest in the occult.

Tragedy in France (64,293)
by THE TRUTH from USA

84 People were just slaughtered in Nice, France and Mariah is choosing to post selfies instead of expressing her sadness, regret and solidarity with the French people with whom she is enjoying her luxurious holiday. Sorry but she is too far gone and self absorbed that to my mind she has just vanished.

Marissa, brava. Brilliantly said. I am ecstatic to see something so poignantly phrased clear and to the point. It renews my faith in this board to see this post, uncensored and hitting home. It is such a shame that mainstream media chooses to obscure this viewpoint and dwell on neo-liberal dribble. I know we would all love to see Mariah take a stand for BLM as we would have loved to see her express her sadness and solidarity with the victims and their families in Orlando.

Sorry Sheila but it is Mariah posting the selfies and parading about in her underwear and boozing it on up in front of the paparazzi. Fans are people too and entitled to their feelings and opinions. Celebrity is a double edged sword and we all have to pay the Piper for the choices we make. Mariah because of her talent has benifited greatly by and from the grace and love of her once millions of fans but if her antics sadden or outrage those same fans, there is no reason why they should be silent.

You forgot about Louise McNally who was with her since the Motolla days. How about the double digit list of ex managers too? Need I mention friends? Even her brother who launched her career lives in Italy and I haven't seen one picture of them together. For that matter, did she fire her mom or did she quit too?

So yes I agree with you, Mariah should not be expected to get behind and support the oppressed, exploited, downtrodden, murdered etc. She should not be expected to take a stand and champion democracy, human rights, the environment or anything else. Sure, it would be nice if she actually stood for something more than the self gratifying, self adulating, look at me I'm so rich, fabulous, and sexy ethos that she pays to have smeared all over Daily Mail but that's just fantasy. Me, I'm okay with not expecting her to be anything more than what she is. The woman that made some incredible music throughout the 90s.

Re: Mariah's stance (64,134) (64,140)

Don't you get it? Mariah isn't scared of anything except becoming irrelevant. She doesn't care about black people, gay people or anybody who can't advance her celebrity or bank account. Plain and simple, she has never cared. It's always been smoke and mirrors. When she was with Tommy he crafted her image and made her treat her fans with reverance, never leaving a performance with a single fan waiting for an autograph. He made her dress conservatively, speak with humilty, praise God, even going so far as to have Sony fund a complete reshoot of her first video because he thought it was too sexy. Tommy understood marketing and had it down to a science. As soon as Mariah had her freedom she began going full speed in the opposite direction, negating every lesson Mottola taught her. Childlike, she rebelled against the very methods which guided her success believing that her celebrity and admitedly extraordinary talent would be enough to ensure that the festivities would continue until the end of time. Not to be rude but I'd encourage everyone who is angry or heart broken about current events to go out and make your voices heard. Reclaim our democracy and stop waiting for Mariah to speak out, she really doesn't care about us.

You just gave me pause to reflect. Your post inspired me to do a search on google, first to see if Mariah tweeted about Philando Castile, BLM, Orlando, and to my surprise the silence was deafening. Mind you I wasn't really expecting much but at least you would think there would be some scant mention. I've never thought of her as a socially conscious celebrity in fact all I just loved those 90s classics of hers but saw from the start that her focus was entirely on herself. I do think the title of her recently shelfed reality show speaks volumes for her nature. She lives in her me I'm a celebrity with lots of money and I'll tweet semi nude selfies of me and my diamonds ceasingly while the rest of the world burns down around me. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm not expecting anything of Mariah the human being, I'll settle for the timeless records she made back in the 90s and be more than happy with that.

Not to be rude but seriously, you cite this like it means anything at all. Who do you think controls those press releases? They are bought and paid for just like all the retouched Mariah cheerleading we see constantly in Daily Mail. Are you really so desperate to be deluded? There is no Santa Claus. Sorry to burst your bubble. I'm not hating, I loved the 90s Mariah, the artist. That era is over and will never return.

I'm flattered that you are following my posts. The world turns and when you are multi tasking and managing multiple businesses, hiring and firing staff on two continents and raising a family sometimes it's hard to keep track of all the people you know. It's not like MW is so front and center in my daily thought process. Life you know.

Mariah's World on hold at E (64,069)
by THE TRUTH from USA
| |
|

So I just got the word from my boy at E that Mariah's World while it is all in the can (all eight episodes finished) it is in a holding pattern and particularly "difficult" dynamics are making the likelihood that MW ever sees the light of day, "slim to none". Your guess is as good as mine whether the "difficult" dynamic was courtesy of Stella or MC.

Sorry to burst the bubble but if you dig a little bit you will see that the one common thread between JD, Da Brat, and Stella is a very dark one and I'm not talking about race. That said, I'd remind everyone that the guiding force behind the 90s Mariah was Tommy Mottola who MJ openly called the devil. What ever Tommy's spiritual predilection was, he had a very clear understanding about how to present a 90s Mariah to a record buying public that was starved for true talent and make it about the voice pure and simple. No pretense, just music. Mariah will not make another great album because she has lost her focus on art. It's all about appearances, celebrity, power, and wealth now. It happens to most super stars, the well runs dry when the love for art is surpassed by obsession with money and celebrity.

by THE TRUTH from USA

Come on. We all know it's a sham. Complete fakery. Do we really even need to speculate? Lets just hope that she writes some great new songs and doesn't do a spread in Playboy. Somebody please tell her to keep her clothes on and no more lap dances in Vegas or anywhere else. Posing with a glass in your hand also not doing much to revamp the tragically damaged image either. How about taking more pics with a mic or her children instead? Love to see her go back to the formula which won for her in the beginning. She's a vocalist, not a stripper. By the way, the whole Christian thing, don't believe the hype, it's the same as the Venezuelan lie. Completely bogus.

Nah Breakdown was a monster and an epic collaboration. She broke all the rules and scored huge with that one. Her phrasing on it was masterful. Great songwriting which that was, is about creating something that grabs a listener by the end of the first chorus not something that has to be heard on the radio 20x before hooking the audience.

How is it possible that those of you who have followed her career since the 90s can't she that she is heading for the worst crash and burn of her career? The breakdown is imminent, will be on an epic scale and with her only safety net being Stella well, need I say more? All the signs are there and so many of you want to believe she's doing great and preparing for her big come back. Webmaster respectfully I'd ask that you post this link.

Honesty? (63,554)
by THE TRUTH from USA
| |
|
|
Sorry but all of you who are talking about Nick's honesty in that so called "freestyle" have drank the lemonade. Releasing that awful mess was brilliant from a PR standpoint, but he has been Machiavellian from the start. He played his cards well from day one. Rode yours truly all the way to the bank, AGT fame and back. As far as the well being of their kids well as shamelesly as they have been exploited neither one of them have a leg to stand on in the parenting department. Anybody who is thinking the delay in signing divorce papers had anything to do with love and not money is asleep at the wheel. Exploiting dem babies for more publicity it really is disgusting. Truth be told that marriage was a PR stunt and so is this new one which by the way will never happen. All that said, Mariah shouldn't be talking bad about her 90s era, that's when she shined and there's no reason to be ashamed of that. It's post 2001 which is so sad.
