Lol. Wait a minute. What do you know about Rachelle Ferrell?

Return to roots (107,137) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I was referring to singers who have albums or singles out right now like Kehlani, Coco Jones, Sza, Remi Wolf and Sabrina Carpener. The female singers you mentioned probably could make MC take some time off if they ever hit the stage together. Your singers have preserved their voices better than MC. I just want MC to sing and not worry about hitting high notes and using her whistle register during live performances and on her new songs.

Return to roots (107,129) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I am hopeful MC does go back to her roots on MC16. It would be nice for her to have a pop ballad that goes #1 on the Hot 100, is used in a commercial, and wins a Grammy for Song of the Year. If she just gives us that one last raw organic pop performance like If It's Over, then we all would be happy. Who cares about her current vocal state at this point? She can stll sing better than any current female artist right now.

Merry Christmas anniversary want list (107,119) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Album sales have been poor for artists like Normani whose album was delayed after multiple delays for two years along with singles that were lackluster. Dua Lipa's three singles failed to make the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and they were just lackluster in terms of her previous singles from Physical. Plus, Taylor dominated the singles and album charts for 4 months causing fans and record shops to keep her on top on the charts.

Merry Christmas anniversary want list (107,116) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Okay, but Cher announced her Christmas in early September. I always refer to Metacritic's new album list for each month. Billboard just released their new album list for August-October. There is not one Christmas album listed for October. At least there would be somebody major on the list for October. Maybe no one wants to release a Christmas album this year because so many albums flopped from Dua Lipa to Normani to Camila Cabello. I think MC has Christmas this year without any distractions like what happened with Brenda Lee.

Merry Christmas anniversary want list (107,110) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I was just thinking again today as I prepare to return to my long work days this week. We all know MC is just not going out on a 20 city tour without some huge Merry Christmas album surprises to support the tour and the Merry Christmas 30th anniversary. As far as I can find with my research, no one else is releasing a new Christmas album this year. So, MC just may do extremely well this Christmas season.

The girl who lipped wolf (107,105) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Lol. You are so funny, Randy. She probably wants to make sure Trey, Mary Ann, Sharlotte, Daniel, Kristofer, Danielle, the dancers and her band have an income during the year. They all have been with MC for quite a long time through it all.

By the way, did anyone notice on X on a rolling Christmas show date post two days ago that Olivia Rodrigo is going to be a guest at one the Christmas shows? It was rolling so fast with music attached to it that I couldn't stop it to see which city she will be a guest. I didn't get the poster's X name either.

Wow. I bet the reason she is not even in the top 25 because her residences are not lengthy stays like the other ones.

Told y'all (107,096) by Robert-Anthony from United States
We were just holding to that one last hope that she would because MC said in April that MC16 was coming soon. However, I knew the receipts weren't adding up this summer. She announced the 2025 Vegas shows two weeks ago and yesterday a 20-city Christmas tour. You may right about 2026. When is she going to have time to finish recording MC16 this year with a Christmas tour and finishing the special gifts for the Merry Christmas anniversary? And I can only assume the Butterfly Lounge tracks have been put away in her vault for now.

Article: Mariah celebrates 30th anniversary of "Merry Christmas" (107,094) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Merry Christmas only made it to #3 on the Billboard Holiday chart last year. It would be sweet if it makes it to the top spot this year. Michael Bube [sic] is always keeping Merry Christmas from being #1 each year. Maybe a AIWFCIY duet is one of the surprises. I hope it is Kelly Clarkson.

MC is using her Queen of Christmas desigination and album anniversaries to work for her benefit. I am going to buy a ticket to see MC in Austin. I suppose Friday, November 8th or 15th will have something special released on one of those days.

I wonder what other surprises she has planned. She has practically released everything CD and vinyl wise for Merry Christmas and AIWFCIY except for an acappella version of the whole album. Also, I am wondering if she is planning a new AIWFCIY video with a movie like production.

Christmas shows (107,084) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC just announced Christimas Time shows starting November 17th for a total of 20 shows. This will be her first full Christmas tour. I don't think MC16 is coming out this year.

If It’s Over? (107,071) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I listened to it this morning. The bridge brought tears to my eyes. It made me think that I shouldn't count MC out just yet. I know in my heart that I can't let MC go. MC got me through some tough times in the 90s. Thirty years is a long time to be a fan of someone.

MC16 (107,067) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I wonder why Columbia Legacy or Def Jam/Island Records hasn't released more box set compilations with album singles or remixes or even Grammy/TV performances. I would love to have her MTV, BET or network tv specials on DVD. Does MC have to give her permission to create and release such compilations or DVDs?

Back to Mariah (107,062) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I feel MC16 will be her last album if she ever releases it. Six years without an album is not what we are accustomed to. So, I would be okay if it is her last album. It seems like her heart is not in releasing new music for whatever reason that we are not privy to right now. I still love me some MC. My collection of 30 years is worth a lot of money.

Inspirational songs (107,047) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I am not looking forward to everything that leads up to election day in November. The name calling, the political ads during primetime programming, and the uneasy political climate irritates me from September to November. I hope this Fall TV season's new shows like Poppa's House (CBS), Brillant Minds (NBC), Georgie's and Mandy's First Marriage (CBS), Happy Place (NBC), and Elsbeth (CBS) can brighten my mood this fall.

Mariah looks great (107,039) by Robert-Anthony from United States
We are now in uncharted territory with MC's career. I am about ready to put my focus and attention on another female artist for awhile as we wait for this long over due MC16 album and Butterfly Lounge project. If it wasn't 6 years since Caution, I would not be so bitter right now because of no album news since April. Here's to Summer Walker and her music right now.

By the way, why doesn't MC have her own cosmetics brand and company? I feel that is a huge misstep in her career.

Mariah, Anita Baker and Lauryn Hill (107,028) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC's voice is what grounded her 20 years ago. She just seems lost now without it. It kept her connected to her Lambs. Now she does not post studio pics and tells us she is working on an new album without a finished product. It has been six long years now. I am beginning to think that she is not working one. If this is not the case, then why does it seem like she is not trying her best to get it done at least for her Lambs. I wish she would let us know something other than "It is coming soon." Kehlani communicates better with her fans than MC. Kehlani has only been in the music business 15 years. And she gives us mixtapes in between albums without worrying about sales or it being on the Billboard 200.

Celine, Mariah and lip synching (107,019) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I apologize for being negative this time. I just noticed that MC does not sing like before even during the Memoirs era. When I say she can't sing anymore, I don't mean she can't do some great vocal stacking or background vocals. I am referring to the fact that MC does not sing like we have heard her sing in the past. MC can still sing.

Celine, Mariah and lip synching (107,012) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I was thinking again today while I was standing in the grocery checkout line. I just wonder is it common knowledge among MC's colleagues, label executives, and radio programmers that Mariah Carey can't sing anymore. I thought about that because MC doesn't receive any offers for duets, movie songs, or TV performances anymore. Her last collaborations have been rap hooks and a JD favor for another artist. I am really worried about what MC's career will look like in 2030. That would be 40 years in the music business at 61 years old. Maybe an announcement of MC16 will be her last album and it will be a double album. That would be a great prelude something new in the TV entertainment and cosmetics industry.

Celine, Mariah and lip synching (107,002) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Right. I noticed that too. How did her career get to this point? I am tempted to write an unauthorized book titled, "The Tragic Loss of Mariah Carey's Voice". I believe the loss of her voice is more than vocal cord nodules or her breathiness singing style. There was something that happened to her voice from 1995-1998 that she never recovered from and over the years it progressively got worse. Fast forward to 2020 and her vocal problems became painfully evident with every live performance that she didn't use a backing track.

I am sure the problem that she is having in the studio recording MC16 is that she can't sing the different parts to her satisfaction to honestly say she is happy with the final track.

Celine, Mariah and lip synching (106,999) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I saw some video clips of the first night. It was obvious that MC was lip syncing to the original tracks. It is very sad that she can't perform live anymore. If she ever releases an album of new material, how would she justify performing new songs to a backing track? And another sad aspect of her vocal issues is that she has not addressed it to her Lambs. If she would at least do that, then we would understand what she is going through. If next year there is no MC16, then she will never release it.
