And yes, I am one of those who will say "yass queen" because it is exactly that, yass. Queen. Being 33 years in the industry and her career behind her - there is literally nothing from her to bring us down. Only positivity and music to focus on forward. I am not a Madonna fan but I have a huge respect for her work and her stage presence. She moves. She puts an afford. And I hate my brain sometimes because I would still rather pay to see Mariah, standing and singing party live, party not, instead seeing Madonna who is doing her maximum. Mariah, please be ready (104,008) by Andrew from the UK I don't know how much money Mariah makes from royalties each year but it's surely got to be around the US$50m mark? I can appreciate the "rug pulled from under you" theory - but it's so unlikely as to be an impossibility. I cannot now see, at this age, and with the experience she has, why Mariah cannot lower the keys of the songs, sing them, and move around the stage once more. Madonna is ten years older than Mariah, recently got out of hospital, clearly still has an injury to her leg, and still is still delivering a reasonable energised and effective show (although there's a lot of criticism of a different nature that can be levelled at that artist). I have always said that I think Mariah's weight, and ever expanding breasts, have negatively impacted her movement and her singing - if she cared about her fans she would do something about it. She would lower the keys of her songs, put on a pair of pants, move about the stage again and have actual fun rather than looking like a (rein)deer in headlights. If you would care to share, I am certain you would be in good company and receive much empathy and sympathy. There is only joy in anything because it reminds us of the sadness within the absence of it. That is to say: better to have loved and lost, etc. Better to have courage to see the positives, than resolve yourself to darkness. It reminds me of a poem I wrote *cough* (of which Randy likes the title... but interestingly not the actual poem): ALL THE AVAILABLE LIGHT I remember when striken the thunderbolt that it's stormier still in the night - and though flashes of brilliance are fleeting, to paint all the available light. What is wrong with Mariah? (103,734) by Brandon from USA Just because you are tired doesn't mean [you] give a lazy performance to people who have paid money to see [you]. It's not as if she was in the midst of a long tour and made a special effort to perform at this wedding. Her last performance was months ago. Beyoncé just came off of a 50+ date tour in stadiums with an almost 3 hour high energy show and gave it every night. I'm sure there were nights when she didn't feel like it but still gave her all. We shouldn't blame jet lag because she should have gotten there early enough to get some rest and be prepared, knowing how long it takes to get over there. I'm confused as to why some fans lower to bar to the ground for Mariah when she is capable of so much more. She's only 54 and still young and beautiful in my eyes. She's not some frail old woman. No. While the O.D.B remix was more popular, I've always preferred her solo version. There are better songs on Daydream than "Fantasy" and "One Sweet Day", way better.
