Mariah Carey suffers a fashion fail

She's renowned for looking good in whatever she wears, but singing sensation Mariah Carey didn't quite pull off her latest style choice. The 44-year-old songstress seemed to channel Michael Jackson as she stepped out with a sliver fingerless glove during a night at the Palm Restaurant in Beverly Hills, on Thursday evening.

Accompanied by a female companion, the American starlet radiated a gorgeous glow as she made her way towards her waiting car. She teamed the ill-advised sartorial statement with a pink floral chiffon blouse and a breezy white skirt, which showed off her perfectly toned pins in all its glory.

Standing tall in an envy-inducing pair of metallic heels, which matched the hand garment, Mariah concealed her eyes with a slick set of shades while wearing her curly mane loose. The singer appears to be getting on well after filing for divorce from husband Nick Canon - the father of her three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - at the start of the year.

Mariah and Nick married on her private island in the Bahamas on April 8, 2008, after just six weeks of dating but former Nickelodeon star Nick confirmed their split in April 2014 after months of speculation. The 34-year-old actor is rumoured to be dating Nicole Murphy, who ended her five-year engagement to former NFL player-turned-morning show host Michael Strahan last summer. The couple reportedly shared an intimate late-night dinner at New York's Tavern On The Green on Valentine's Day.

Meanwhile, Mariah was recently caught up in a lip-syncing incident at the 2015 Jazz And Blues Festival in Jamaica, where fans reportedly paid around $200 to watch her belt out her chart-topping hits. She was also harshly criticized for mouthing the words to her mega-successful holiday hit All I Want For Christmas Is You at the annual NBC special In Rockefeller Center in December. However, the mother-of-two is set to bounce back with a Vegas residency at The Colosseum inside Caesars Palace in May.
