Fans would like to check in with Mariah Carey. The Songbird Supreme, 55, is currently in the midst of her ongoing Celebration of Mimi residency at Dolby Live in Las Vegas, and a recent fan-shot Instagram video of her performing "Fantasy" has fans wanting to make sure she's all right.
In the clip, Carey sports a pink bodysuit with a sheer skirt and matching chunky heels as she sings the 1995 hit and walks slowly across the stage, stopping to interact with dancers - who are performing with a bit more energy than she is.
It's unclear if the Grammy winner is struggling to keep up with the rest of the stage production or simply ultra-focused on her vocal performance, as she didn't miss any lyrics in the song and kept a smile on her face throughout.
Some viewers, however, were left feeling concerned about Carey's wellbeing. "She moves around like she's an elderly woman," wrote one Instagram user in the comments section. "Stiff as a board," read a comment, while another asked, "Is she OK?" One person suggested, "Girl, just grab a stool and take a damn seat!"
Several fans did come to Carey's defense. "Our stars are aging. We just used to them being young," wrote one. "Heck, Madonna will be 67 this year and so would have Prince and Michael Jackson!"
Another member of the Lambily commented, "No Mariah disrespect tolerated . She's a singer. A vocalist. An icon. She earned her cemented place in history by her talent and hard work. It's insane that a society believes you have to keep running yourself into the ground when you've already out worked and out performed 90% of the people in your field."
Reps for Carey did not immediately respond to People's request for comment.
The Celebration of Mimi residency continues with three more shows on February 12, February 14 and February 15. Previously, Carey performed a string of festive Christmas Time concerts in November and December.
