Power dressing: Mariah Carey displays her diva style
The PVC trend is something a lot of celebrities are getting behind, and Mariah Carey seems to be one of them. The 45-year-old singer strutted her stuff in New York on Wednesday wearing a black mac in the plastic material. She continued the black theme with ma matching skirt, fishnet tights and heels, adding a pair of large sunglasses to complete her diva ensemble.
Mariah wore a bright smile and her hair straight, with a pair of silver dangling earrings sparkling from her ears. Soon she'll be heading to Las Vegas to begin her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace where she will deliver her 18 Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles.
"I have devoted my life to traveling the world, meeting fans and performing across the globe," Mariah said of the news. "Las Vegas will allow me to showcase my music in a way it's never been presented before." This may mean her children, three-year old twins Monroe and Moroccan, will join her in Las Vegas though they'll be sure to visit their dad Nick Cannon a lot.
The America's Got Talent judge is just as hands-on with the kids, despite filing for divorce from Mariah in December, after seven years of marriage. On Wednesday, the 34-year-old brought Monroe and Moroccan (aka Rocky), to the set for the AGT season 10 Los Angeles auditions.
It was recently revealed Nick had signed and sealed a deal to write a tell-all book about his marriage to the superstar. Mariah rejected Nick's numerous demands for a $30 million divorce settlement, so now he's writing the book - saying he plans to get his payday for being married to her one way or another - and there is nothing she can do about it because he already signed the deal with major publishing company Simon & Schuster, a family friend told Daily Mail Online. The publishing company confirmed to Daily Mail Online that the book is being published by Gallery Books, an imprint of the high-powered organisation.
The pair have been battling about money and custody of their twins since he filed the divorce papers four months ago, and even though there is a prenuptial agreement, Nick is willing to air their dirty laundry - for a big fat check.
Mariah and Nick were married on her private estate in the Bahamas on April 30, 2008 and welcomed their twins Monroe and Moroccan on April 30, 2011. However, in August 2014, Nick confirmed that he and his wife, Mariah had been separated for a few months, and he filed for divorce on December 12, 2014.
"Nick says he is going to tell the world about Mariah's drug use, her strange eating habits, psychosis, what she has said about other artists, her sexual proclivities and her parenting skills. It which will really be hurtful," the insider said. "And Nick is also going to explain why he thinks he should have full custody of the twins.
