Mariah Carey appears to be readying a major surprise in celebration of "The Emancipation of Mimi". The diva's classic LP was released in April 2005 and proved to be the comeback of comebacks.
Re-establishing Carey as a bonafide chart force, the project was a colossal success. Home to hits such as "We Belong Together", "Shake It Off", and "Don’t Forget About Us", the project went on to be certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA in the US and to sell 10 million copies.
Now, as its 20th anniversary approaches, Mimi has shared a countdown timer touting surprises to come. Christened #Mimi2020, the site asks Lambs to "stay tuned for more". Exciting times!
