Jennifer Lopez has signed a new recording contract with Epic Records, the same label that longtime rival Mariah Carey calls home, according to Billboard. Lopez and Carey were both signed to Sony Music, which owns Epic, in the early 2000s.
It's long been rumored that their beef started when Carey's ex, Tommy Mottola, took samples Carey used on her "Glitter" album and gave them to Lopez. Both divas denied a feud, but have dissed each other at awards shows and in interviews.
Carey once responded, "I don't know her" when asked about Lopez. Talk-show host Wendy Williams brought it up to Lopez this week, who responded: "She's forgetful, I guess. We've met many times. I don't know her that well."
