Nick Cannon is suing Mariah Carey
We guess they don't belong together after all. According to a lawsuit recently filed by Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey went ahead and sold their home without ever consulting her estranged husband and the father of her children. TMZ obtained a copy of the legal paperwork, in which the 34-year-old host of "America's Got Talent" says he never authorized the sale of their Bel Air home (which sold for $9 million) because their shared business manager, Michael Kane, dealt exclusively with Team Mimi.
Nick claims he was blindsided and was kept in the dark until after the deal with finalized. TMZ claims Nick doesn't have a problem parting with the house - he's just peeved that Mariah went behind his back and is worried about his cut of the deal.
The father-of-two allegedly wants the profit from the sale held until they can decide just how to divvy up the cash. Rather than dealing with frozen funds - their biz manager, Michael, says it's time for Nick to "let it go" (see what we did there?), calling the lawsuit frivolous, adding it's "clearly a desperate act from a sadly desperate man".
