Despite calling off their engagement after a blow-up row in Greece last September, reportedly over her spending, Mariah has put the ring back on, and she doesn't care who sees it.
But before fans get excited thinking a Miracker reunion could be happening, it's worth noting that she decked out her finger with the $9.5million sparkler whilst on a date with her new toyboy beau, Bryan Takana.
Arriving at West Hollywood's Catch restaurant on January 23, the self-styled elusive chanteuse did nothing to hide the jewel, tucking her hair coquettish behind her ear whilst flashing the bling.
Billionaire businessman James proposed to the singer in January 2016, with the rock designed by Mariah's friend, jewellery designer Wilfredo Rosado. "It's an epic ring for an epic time in her life," he told US Vogue at the time. "I wanted to create the most stunning ring for one of the most iconic divas of our generation."
Sources close to the star made it clear after the split that she has no intention of handing the ring back. And fortunately for her, the law was in her corner. "The law in California is that she doesn't have to give the ring back because she didn't call off the engagement," a source told Us Weekly back in October.
"She had every intention of marrying him - she had a dress, her daughter had a dress, they were excited, they were making wedding plans. Then, on the last day of their Greek vacation, he said, 'I can't do this anymore, this is just too much.'"
