Mariah Carey swaps the stage for the kitchen

She wows with her amazing vocals on stage. But Mariah Carey, 47, hung up her microphone and showed off her cooking prowess in the kitchen to celebrate Thanksgiving in a seductive Instagram post on Thursday. Proving to be a woman of many talents, the songstress sizzled as she flaunted her hourglass curves in a skintight deep crimson dress while she cooked up a storm.

Famed for her curvy figure, The All I Want For Christmas Is You hitmaker showed off her gravity-defying cleavage in the scooped neckline of her cap sleeve frock. Mariah, who is dating 34-year-old Bryan Tanaka, was a vision when she added a floral accessory to her voluminous curls. The beaming Vision of Love hitmaker was every inch the domestic goddess as she got into the festive spirit for the holiday season.

Working her magic in the kitchen, the singer stirred the mixture in the silver pot and chopped the peppers as she prepared her Thanksgiving signature dish. No doubt the mother-of-two was cooking up a storm for her six-year-old twins Roc and Roe whom she shares with ex husband Nick Cannon. Nick and Mariah were married in 2008 but the hunk filed for separation in 2014, with the divorce was finalised in 2016.

Mariah captioned the picture: "Happy Thanksgiving everybody. I'm still under the weather but grateful to be able to celebrate with family and friends." The songstress revealed she was still feeling unwell following the news she had to pull out of the first few concerts of her All I Want For Christmas Is You tour. The pop superstar, whose annual festive show is hugely popular, announced the news via social media Wednesday.

"Lambs! Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, it seems I've received a present of my own; a lovely upper respiratory infection after last week's flu. Bleak," she tweeted. Mariah pulled the plug on gigs in Windsor, Ontario, in Canada on Friday followed by concerts in Chicago on Saturday and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Sunday. It is not yet known when the tour will resume.

Elsewhere, the One Sweet Day hitmaker showed off her singing talent once again in Christmas animated film The Star alongside her twins. The flick has a star-studded line-up including Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi as Mary and Joseph, Christopher Plummer as King Herod, Oprah Winfrey, Kristin Chenowith and Tyler Perry as camels Deborah, Abby and Cyrus as well as Keegan-Michael Key as David the dove. Ving Rhames, Gabriel Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson, Kris Kistofferson, and Tracy Morgan also joined the cast for the family film which is out in cinemas now.
