"I know what you want" review
Out of potential disaster Busta Rhymes is managing to forge some kind of success in the singles department. Last album "It Ain't Safe No More..." was hardly a classic and yet you'll still find this track and the superb preceding single, "Make It Clap" (especially the Sean Paul version), doing the business in your local hip hop discotheque.
The presence of Mariah Carey should warn off the hardcore (though it's hard to figure out quite what she's doing here) but casual MTV Base glancers will be in heaven from the very first bars of sun-drenched latin guitar lite. This is, you imagine, what a new Santana single would sound like if these two J Records players ever get the inevitable collaboration together.
As it is, the A&R department know the global reach of this kind of summer holiday material and it seems they have another hit on their hands. (Dotmusic)
