Vegas voice (63,157)

From the short clips on Instagram, she sounded amazing. Vision Of Love's ending was epic. Now I gotta wait for The Diary Of Mariah Carey to upload her usual stunning vocal compilation.

This is my favourite pic of the night. She looks so radiant and the outfit suits her so well and is the least revealing. I wish Mariah could see what we do that she looks her best when she's slightly covered up.

Las Vegas 2016 (63,155)
by Anthony Carey from U.K
| |
|
|
Hey guys. Well even though I was back in Las Vegas at the February dates, I couldn't wait until Christmas to see her again so booked my flights from UK and off I go to see Mariah in August. The reason for my post, I was talking to the girls at the Britney store and she explained the staff rotate between Britney shop and Mariah/Celine shop, and was telling me they heard there will be new merchandise of Mariah's this time round. Any of you guys managed to check it out yet? Here is hoping however I did think it was odd they would and will probably have to wait for the 2016 Christmas shows for any new items. Take care and countdown to Mariah's World.

Aww that's not the red and black dress. Red does look nice on her, but I don't like the style. I was happy looking at the top then I got to the bottom and it was all sad face. Lol I like the second dress.

Article: Mariah Carey refused to sing during "Carpool Karaoke" (63,153)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines

Aside from the seemingly unavoidable miming here and there, it's disappointing features like this that perpetuate the wrong notion that Mariah can't sing anymore. Real fans know that she can't sing like she used to, but to the rest of the world, she just can't sing anymore, period.

I wish she had stuck with the original red ensemble the designer showed. Maybe that was less Vegas for her. Most of them were pretty good.

Apart from the messy bodysuit, the glittery one not the pink one, I'm more or less cool with the rest of the outfits. I need a clearer picture of the white TMB dress. I think it's a cute one. Higher quality pictures may change my mind though so waiting on them. As for her voice and confidence, Mariah is on fire. Her stage presence has definitely improved.

Re: Nick Cannon responds to TMZ (63,131) (63,148)

Hey you, oh but he is treated as this silent Mr Wizard. If he is behind the green curtain, then he shall be proven to be a fraud. I have an interesting theory about the end game, but I'm just gonna watch and hope it ends well for all, or at least for Mariah and the kids. I actually like Nick and hope it ends well for him too. JP buying TMZ favor may have no good effect on any future music sales. First, it better be quality and authentic, then she stands a chance for another hit. I still say Infinity the song was a misstep, both in the quality of the song and in the promotion of it. I hope Mariah's next release will be a well constructed song with that doesn't seem so personally attached to her mess. She is at her best with just good music, not stunt music.

Based on the few clips that I've seen, there's many fashion no no's but damn it I'm more concentrated in her voice, her confidence got even more stronger. I think I will rant privately about her outfits because honestly I expect more.

Look 1 and 2. The second picture is giving me serious Grammys 2006 performance tease. This is the final product of the dress we saw previously being made. New bodysuit for "Honey". This is the outfit she wore for "My All". I think she looked great. Red really is Mariah's color. Hood-riah moment haha. This was for TMB I guess. Love this new dress as well. Stunning. This is a short clip from her performing "My All" in the red dress. She looks great, and sounds great and she is clearly feeling confident. I'll keep an eye out for better quality shots of the outfits.

Re: Anyone else think Mariah lost her passion? (63,130) (63,144)
by darrian liu from taiwan

|
|
I don't think so. If she's not into singing anymore, she wouldn't go on those tours and that residency. To say that she's "not trying since 2005" is just... wrong. It's obvious that Mariah was trying hard for commercial success of her music in 2008 (material-wise it was obvious that it was tailored for success and promotional-wise until the Nick Cannon marriage). 2009's MOAIA is a really underrated album, imo it shows many facets of Mariah's personality as an artist. (Playful? Up Out My Face. Diva-ish? Obsessed. Classic Mariah? Languishing. The list goes on.) 2014's MIAM was a flop commercially but musically it was great, although there was fillers. Infinity was a whole lot another story, but hey, Mariah's a human too. Even the greatest artists has occasional slip-ups. Let's wait for the next release, I'm sure she has a something great up her sleeves.

I'd be interested to see if they'd have said the same thing if asked 25 years ago before the media gave Mariah the "diva" tag. Sounds like another sold story for ££ if you ask me. In other news, I've not seen that photo of Mariah before, it's stunning.

Mariah's passion (63,142)
by Kajal from UK- Birmingham
| |
|
|
Hi guys. I don't normally post that often but I check-in everyday to see what lambs are messaging and read the latest news. Someone mentioned Mariah's passion is no longer there and I totally agree in a musical sense. I grew up listening to Mariah (I am 33 now) and still today I am in awe of the Butterfly album, Rainbow and Daydream as well as her earlier albums but for me her voice, her tones to her melodies and song-writing skills were out of this world in these albums. Just yesterday whilst cooking I put on a Mariah playlist from YouTube playing songs from that era. And many a times whilst listening to "I still believe", "Always be my baby", "Close my eyes" and all those gems I stopped for a second and asked how someone can go from singing and writing like this to what she has given us in the last two albums. I mean the songs have no passion, no "Whenever you call", "Beautiful ones", "Petals", "Can't take that away" passion. No "Open arms", "My all", "One sweet day" passion. No "I am free", "Outside" and "Over the rainbow" tribute vocals' passion. It really makes me cry that this lady this super star used to write impeccably and touching heart-strings all over the world. I mean look at the melodies with Walter and masterpieces they created. That also brings me to the point that Mariah is a Christian and I feel that whatever issues she had with Walter and all those people who were paramount to her success pre 1999, she needs to let go and forgive them (as a Christian) because for me and hopefully others too, to see Mariah and Walter or even Boys II Men working together and going vack to her roots would be out of this world. I never thought I would write so much but this lady does not need over production like this latest album. Even just a piano, guitar and a harp will make Mariah go back to the top of the charts again. Even her look can be toned down but I'll save that for another post. I absolutely love this woman so I am not putting her down and hope those who see my sentiments will agree.

MC Vegas - third leg (63,141)

From the little snippets I've seen, she sounded and looked fabulous, but that "My All" sort of dress was a no-no. The first white dress was beautiful though, and so was the robe.

Adele throwing in that surprise rapping moment made me stand up and slow clap. She was lively throughout and seemed to really enjoy herself. Great humor too.

The carpool karaoke was a cute moment but it was slightly weird that she didn't sing much and she was out of shape. Then to see Adele sing her face off kind of makes you go hmm.

"Memoirs" voice (63,138)
by Billy from Greece
| |
|
|
I've always felt that Mariah's voice on "Memoirs" was at its most "live-sounding", if this makes any sense. It sounds unprocessed and unfussy (in a good way), with the natural rasp and gut-wrenching resonance you hear when you see her live. I was always seduced by her sound on this album. I'm currently giving it a spin this rainy gloomy day, and boy does it sound good.

Mariah vs. Wendy (63,135)
by Todd from Sydney, Australia
| |
|
|
I find it interesting that Wendy Williams hasn't responded to Mariah and Lee's video. Granted, it's over a week old and she had last week off, but still. I personally love watching Wendy (how you doin' hot topics bureau if you're checking this out). However, I wouldn't be surprised if after the video, Wendy has taken a "well, screw you then" attitude to it, and from now on will not mention Mariah at all, whether it's new music, Mariah's World, fashion or anything. Which I think is a shame, because the Wendy show is one of the last popular shows that actually keep Mariah's name in the public's face. I don't even think Wendy is that rude, in fact most of the time she's being pretty nice, and kinda just saying what most people are thinking. But I've always felt like Wendy has Mariah's back in a weird way. So it will be a shame if the video (which, by the way, was uncalled for, as Lee definitely said what he said), cancels the airtime that MC usually gets. Just my thoughts.

Angie Martinez memoir (63,134)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
I just read Angie's memoir and it's very good. She mentions Mariah briefly. Mariah actually hosted Angie's baby shower on Angie's radio show. The book also describes the fight she had with her then co worker Wendy Williams. It's actually one of the best memoirs I've read in a long time. I like how she broke down two of the biggest hip hop beefs, especially the Jay Z and Nas beef. The other was the Tupac/Biggie beef. If she has any thoughts about the clown Em and his beef with Mariah, she didn't mention it, but I like that she did check Jay Z, Nas and Tupac for being wrong in going in on their rap opponent's women. In the clown's case I think he's the only rapper to diss a diva and be given credit as being good. He has never battled the greats.

Absolutely love for Mariah to do it again, James to put on a song, than Mariah to say, "Hold on, if we're gonna do it...", change it to Emotions and sing the long intro. She should do it. And throw in a whistle note for shits and giggles.
