Ryan Seacrest had a very important question for his Christmas queen on Monday night (November 9): Is it too early to put up a Christmas tree? Mariah Carey had the very best answer when Seacrest tweeted at her, "I'm told it's too early to put up a Christmas tree. Need you to weigh in on this."
Now, keep in mind, thanks to her titanic holiday hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You", MC is the foremost authority on all things Christmas, but as she told Ryan the rules that apply to royalty don't necessarily apply to the rest of us.
"It's definitely early Ryan," she responded. "I told you to get through Thanksgiving first." That said, she noted that she's had one up for a month already and there are at least a handful more to come.
To be fair, it seems like a lot of people are already in the Christmas mood, as evidenced by Mariah's reposting of ecstatic celebrations at a Los Angeles gas station following President-elect Joe Biden's decisive victory over one-termer Donald Trump, during which Angelenos were dancing and singing along to Carey's No. 1 holiday hit.
