Billboards top artists for the 21st century (107,721) by Bobby A from United States
I saw the list and shook my head that MC wasn't on the list. MC has accomplished so much during her career. She doesn't need a magazine or award show to celebrate her already successful career. 2025 is going to be her 2005 all over again. I just know it.

These are clearly two distinct charts. The Holiday 100 focuses exclusively on Holiday music, while the Hot 100 considers music from all genres, making the competition significantly tougher. As you can see, only a few of the currently most popular holiday songs have made their way onto the Hot 100.

Sad to see Mariah not on the list. Even though her major chunk of success was in the 90s, she's had huge moments in the 2000s and has cemented her legacy by continuing to be relevant and selling out tours almost 35 years into her. Her impact on the music industry is unparalleled.

So #2 on Billboard Christmas list, but a higher position than Rocking Around on Billboard Hot 100? How is that possible?

And somewhere on the Holiday 100, the top 10 looks like this:

1. "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" – Brenda Lee
2. "All I Want for Christmas Is You" – Mariah Carey
3. "Jingle Bell Rock" – Bobby Helms
4. "A Holly Jolly Christmas" – Burl Ives
5. "Last Christmas" – Wham!
6. "Feliz Navidad" – José Feliciano
7. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" – Andy Williams
8. "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" – Dean Martin
9. "White Christmas" – Bing Crosby
10. "Santa Tell Me" – Ariana Grande

Since the Holiday 100 usually hints at how the Hot 100 is going to play out, Mariah better grab some glue and secure that weave because Brenda, rocking slow but steady from her chair, is going to try and snatch it.

The battle for the #1 spot for multiple weeks may be tough this year. Next week will determine how AIW will perform for the holiday season and the potential contender for the #1 spot.

Oh dear. I was probably to tired to realize that I was on the wrong Top 100. How is that possible? I need new glasses. I'm sorry.

Why did MC's label collapse and never had anymore new artists signed to the label? The label's existence was quietly closed without a word from MC or Columbia.

AIWFCIY is on the list, if I'm not wrong. Number 55 at the moment.

On December 6th, Cher will also release a new version of her Christmas album with a new remix of "Angels in the Snow". Maybe with Mariah?

Sorry - tracklisting has the original plus live versions from Cathedral of Saint John - which she already has released. How is this a new edition?

Spotify has a pre save for December 6th. I don't want to get too excited but since this is on Spotify it can't be just a new cover. Fingers crossed for a bonus track at least.

Merry Christmas deluxe (107,704) by Bobby A from United States
The deluxe version of Merry Christmas is going to be perfect for the Christmas party that I am planning. People are buying it on Amazon as if it was released this year. Four hundred people purchased in the past month.

Hot 100 (107,702) by Shezz from Pk
Isn't AIWFC projected to chart at #10 this week? Why are we so worried about it not doing well this year?. It's charting one week later than last year but pretty high - probably just missed the top 25 mark last week. It is strange how Last Christmas debuted at 38 with that rule. It is my second most favourite Christmas song of all time - I'd be happy if it gets to number 1 as well. Of course she has nothing left to prove but having the number 1 song in the country will always be a big deal to the lambily and of course to Mariah.

I really love "Last Christmas" and have been playing it quite often of late, that vintage sound from the 80's and the nostalgia that comes with it is gold, I won't be surprised if it hits number one this year. Music from the 80's is honestly the best to me.

Yeah I caught that part. Mariah basically recorded that Emancipation album all year through 2004, there are so many song titles from then that did not make the final cut. They could see the light of day next year for it's 20th anniversary. (Where did time go? I just bought this album. ) Lol.

I think Edward said last year that Last Christmas could battle AIW for the #1 spot this year. Maybe Sony/Legacy has started something behind the scenes that we haven't found out about yet. LC will be 40 years old on December 3rd.

Yes, that is very strange. New rule is that an old song has to chart 25 or higher on the Hot 100 to be included on the chart, so how Last Christmas can chart at 38, I have no idea.

Around the 43 minute mark on the interview she says "I think it's coming in the future" and "I hope you like it" when asked about a 3rd Emancipation album. She doesn't go into details, true, but that's because she knows JLo may be watching. If you know, you know.
