Mariah Carey reflects on 25 years of Rainbow (106,725) by Jamie from UK
I loved the Rainbow tour. Lots of people say this album was rushed just to finish with Sony. I disagree, there was so much put into this album, tours, resung vocals for remixes, catchy songs, great music videos, live performances etc.

Rainbow 25 (106,724) by Terna from Nigeria
That's one of the weird things I left Spotify for YouTube Music, missing songs entirely or different versions you're not conversant with and don't get me started on the songs that were previously available and then suddenly not. Leaving gaps in one's playlist. Smh.

Mariah Carey reflects on 25 years of Rainbow (106,723) by Special K from USA
I love this album. Favorite song is Bliss. First time I saw Mariah in concert was during the Rainbow Tour and it was the first time I met her. I almost passed out. Glad to see Mariah reflect on the Rainbow album. Why do I feel so old? Great memories.

Article: Mariah Carey reflects on 25 years of Rainbow (106,722) by Lainsky from Philippines
I've been listening to Mariah's theme "Can't Take That Away From Me" now that we celebrate Rainbow's 25th anniversary, both original and remixes. I have developed a new appreciation for this song. When it was released in 2000 with "Cry Baby" as the B-side, I preferred CB over CTTAFM. Like Mariah, my taste in music has transitioned from pop to R&B/Hip-hop. But now, I like it more. And I could not help but think about this if the relationship between Mariah and the label had not gone awry, it could have been released and promoted well and possibly have gone to No.1. Well, if that relationship remained okay, I guess other singles have gone to top, such as How Much (if also released - the sound and Usher was so popular that year), Butterfly, Breakdown, and Sweetheart. Well, we can only wish now and imagine while enjoying this expanded edition of the album.

Debut and Emotions anniversaries (106,721) by Jamie from UK
I wonder if the reason she never celebrated these anniversaries was due to the royalties that Ben Margulies would get. We know she signed a bad deal with him and he'd get a big chunk of money, decreasing by each album.

How Much - what happened? (106,720) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
The So So Def version of How Much featuring Usher is so much better then the album version. What happened there? I know she mentioned in the Vogue interview the label didn't get it, but I get it way more than the original version. What the heck?

Anderson Paak (106,718) by Bobby A from United States
Maybe because of these pictures, a faithful and inquisitive Lamb can only assume Anderson Paak was the producer she was talking about in the Vogue article. She gives him away by saying "Y'all wouldn't believe the week I've had." You know all about Anderson Paak's and Bruno Mars' R&B throwback group Silk Sonic. I liked that she is stepping out of her comfort zone by leaning less on the hip hop genre and more on the R&B and dance genre. Could working with Anderson Paak and Rae Khalil help MC craft a brilliant album? 2024 is definitely giving the Lambs good vibes about her voice, MC16, creativity in the studio and her overall happiness than in 2023. This is Rae Khalil.

Vogue World interview (106,717) by Bobby A from United States
MC has spoken like this since "I Don't Know Her" and Tommy did her so wrong. One thing we can say about MC is that she is not going to talk negatively about a person or situation unless you gotten on her bad list. I agree with you that the Lauryn Hill situation may have been a label issue or who knows with Ms. Hill. She has had some difficulty showing up on time or being true to her commitments in the past. Anyone noticed in the Vogue interview MC answered in way to make the interviewer think that the two actually recorded Save The Day in the studio together? We all know that Lauryn's vocals are a sample from The Fugees' song Killing Me Softly.

Joe's Wikipedia page under his career section: Rise to Stardom 2000-2007. Sometimes Wikipedia is my only source for quick answers without typing in Google a specific question for more narrowed search results. I do get actually old interview results if I type YouTube behind my search topic.

It seems that Mariah had some good vocal days here and there during the recording process of the album "Rainbow". While there are some great vocals on the album, the quality is not consistent throughout.

I hate the way she often speaks in a non-definitive way. It can be hard to know if she's being fully honest - especially in print. Why not just say "no"? Her "who said that?" answer kinda gave me the impression that she didn't want to or couldn't speak about what may have been some truth to the rumor (a meeting with Lauryn, disagreement, label issue, etc).

I was wondering if that was 98 Degrees on the harmonies? So it's not really a "Mariah solo"? I wondered if those 2nd verse harmonies are Trey. He is listed in the credits.

Right. She sang the 2nd verse in such a lazy way to me than the first verse. Something is just off with her second verse. Anybody notice that 98 Degrees background are very prevalent and extra loud on the solo version than the album version? I think all three harmonized together on the album version.

I agree. Unlike her solo versions of "Whenever You Call" and "Against All Odds", Mariah wasn't in her best vocal form during this period, and it shows in these previously unheard vocals. I'm not particularly impressed, but I'm not disappointed either. She has given us some real gems on "The Rarities".

Finally a Lamb who knew the right questions to ask. We found out that the Crystal Ball Lauren Hill song was just Lamb myth. There is Rainbow tour and MTV promotion footage that she is looking for. And last but not least, a new music is coming soon. MC said that she was in the studio this week with someone who shall be nameless. It is really good that she is revisiting Rainbow before she releases a new album since it was such a turning point in her career.

Sorry Eric if you've already put up this article - it wasn't up at the time of this message.

So the Lauryn Hill song was never really a thing but MC16 is coming soon.

The collaboration helped Joe's album sales and singles rise on the charts from 2000-2007. TGIFY was Joe's first number #1 song on the Hot 100. Stutter released in 2000 became his second #1 song.

MC's collaborations has helped other artists careers like Nas, Mystikal, Fabolous, Meek Mill, Miguel, and The-Dream rise to new heights for album and single chart dominance.

Rainbow's End vocals (106,703) by MusicfanJ from Germany
To me it seems brand new. What do the other lambs think? I can't get this song out of my head since yesterday. The new vocals are really good. The song is very uplifting, it feels indeed like a 70ies disco song except for the house parts by Mr. Morales. Mariah and David Morales are always a great working duo. I love all the remixes by him.

Lee, I thought the same with the demo. I like the Mariah only version, but it's funny. I've listenend to the original so many times (since it came out in 99) that I still hear Joe at the second part on the "new" Mariah only version. The human brain does funny things.
