We should know by now that Mariah Carey does the holidays right. She reminded us of that Friday by confirming that she has real reindeer come to her house on Christmas. They, of course, accompany Santa Claus on his visit to the now-7-year-old twins - Moroccan and Monroe - that she shares with Nick Cannon.
"Now, people think I'm making this up, but this is true," Carey told host Cayman Kelly on SiriusXM's Heart & Soul channel. "I have real reindeer that come to my house." Kelly was impressed. "Yes, darling, I don't play around," Carey said. "It's Christmas!" In fact, the singer captured some of the holiday magic at her place last year.
Carey is currently promoting her new album, Caution, but she's well known for her holiday tunes, including the modern classic, "All I Want for Christmas Is You". She regularly performs Christmas concerts and headlines holiday specials. She even sells Christmas ornaments, Santa hats and other jolly merchandise.

The revelation about the reindeer followed a question about whether she has a budget for the most wonderful time of the year. "I should have a Christmas budget," Carey said. "People don't realize how much it costs to go and do the whole Christmas experience extravaganza that I do, darling."
The good news for Carey is that she can afford it. In addition to the millions she's earned over the past three decades, Carey announced last month that she'll launch a world tour in support of her new album in February.
