I too loved Eternal Sunshine. I didn't like a couple of the songs on the album, including Yes and. I wish Mariah and Ari could have worked on an original song together and not just a remix. I could definitely hear Mariah being on a song like Bye, or The Boy is Mine. Also True Story (sonically not lyrically, could have been on Caution). For any of you lambs that may have heard Ariana's new album, which song could you imagine Mariah singing or collaborating with her on?

I'm just a fan who reads the signs.  That's as much as I can say. It's too bad all the lambs and Ariana fans didn't support the YAR more because it could've really carried Mariah through the summer with a song on the radio and streaming platforms. I listened to Ari's new album and I think it's fantastic. She's incorporating a lot of R&B that's been missing in big pop music as of late. I now know that if Mariah would work with Max Martin for an album it would sound magical. Mariah commented on Ariana's post saying she will be listening to the album the moment it drops. I wonder if her kids are big fans of Ari and are the reason Mariah is more interested in her music? If so it could open the doors to a lot more new producers, sounds and ideas. I would love if Mariah had a new body of work in the vide of Eternal Sunshine. It just sounds so organic and not pushed or over produced.

To be honest and I stress this is my personal opinion, they should have done more to promote it. They can't just drop and move on and expect fans to carry it, especially with a song that's as controversial as "yes, and?". By controversial I mean multiple things - (1) Ariana was accused of being a home wrecker which lead to a huge popularity decline, and her response to it is "yes, and?" so people thought she was just saying "ya I took a man away from his wife and family, and?" (2) Lambs and Arianators were pumped and fully on board them collaborating but were not pleased with the outcome - they thought Mariah was trying to show off and dominate Ari, or shouting or that Mariah sounds like AI or other variations of them not vibing with the song. (3) People who are not familiar with Mariah's discography outside of her popular songs couldn't connect Mariah to a song like this so they couldn't accept it. (4) Arianators had already went hard to get the song to #1 why would they put the same effort on this song for remix when it wasn't that strong of a song either ways and they were gearing for the next single. (5) Mariah had like 2 lines in the remix and didn't add much to the body of the song. These along with many other factors just let the song die. I think if Mariah really wants to have impact with new collaborators it shouldn't be remixes and it should be a song where she has equal weight. Also from what I hear Max Martin wasn't the one Mariah worked with, she worked with her own sound engineer and sent it off to Ariana so I don't know how much input Max had in terms of Mariah's delivery.

Dumb question for Eric, is it just me or this isn't working from mobile browsers? I can open it on my laptop but when I try from my phone it gives me the same error I was talking about earlier. Earlier too when I wrote the post I tried accessing from my laptop after failing from the phone and I thought possibly the transition is causing delays but I still can't access from phone.

Oh wow are they able to use SIO on TikTok? I thought UMG removed all their music from the platform. Also SIO is such a bop and still so fresh, I'll forever be sad that it didn't hit #1. Markus Klinko, the photographer behind Mariah's iconic TEOM shoot, has been hired by her again to do a new shoot for her Vegas residency. Apparently the photos will be inspired by TEOM photos. Now this has got me thinking, why is that the case? She's been recycling old TEOM photos for it and it's just. Month away why is she now doing a new shoot? Could she be using it for MC16? Fun fact for those who don't know, Mariah called Markus in the middle of the night insisting on him doing the shoot and asking for an exact pose he saw from his work, here's the inspiration photo. He didn't want to recreate the same pose so they landed on something similar.

The debut era is so underrated. Once you get past the production of the album, and focus on the live performances, her voice, and the interviews you realise it was untouchable. Her look and vibe was just everything. I watch The First Vision any chance I can get.

How I love Mariah on the "First vision". So sweet. For me she was the ultimate American girl. So cool and beautiful. How can someone be so beautiful and sing like in her debut. It's almost too much. She has everything and is really blessed.  I just miss a more natural MC. I also do believe inside she's the same.

Randomly I watched "The First Vision" again last night. Let's just talk about how good that was. Her talking about herself was the highlight. I followed it up by watching a recent interview with Jennifer Hudson. Was interesting to see the contrast (and how stiff she seemed recently) but also that in the recent interview she spoke about the same reference point of pointing out when her mom hit the wrong notes. Old Mariah is still in there but wow has she changed.
