Mariah Carey avoids wearing mascara while performing as she finds it tends to "drip" down her face. The superstar singer is nothing less than glamorous when she hits the stage to perform, always wearing stunning outfits and a face full of cosmetics. But if you look closely, you'll see Mariah chooses to avoid tinting her lashes.
"I don't wear mascara because when I sing it drips down my face, and that's not a pretty sight," she told Britain's Elle magazine. "When I'm on stage I'll wear false lashes for impact. When I was younger I wanted to be a make-up artist, so I went to beauty school - it was going to be my thing to fall back on if music didn't work out. But in the end I didn't have that mentality - I put my all into making sure music happened."
Luckily she's managed to channel this passion into a make-up range with MAC, which is available to purchase now. It features an array of luxury offerings, including at least two lipsticks and an intense bronzed highlighter, which she couldn't wait to share with fans.
"I've been waiting ages to show everyone my new collection for MAC," she sighed before its launch. "I wanted to create make-up that worked for all skin tones and something I would wear all the time on stage, at home, hanging out, or whatever."
Many may assume the Without You singer uses numerous products to keep her tresses looking so shiny and healthy but Mariah insists the only thing she truly relies on is coconut oil.
