The real lambs are the ones who trust her and who don't judge her, basically who are not prejudice, who don't represent the same type of people Mariah's been escaping and trying to emancipate herself from her whole life. Real lambs are friends and, even though we can have different opinions, even thought we don't necessarily agree with her all the time, there is no way - and I mean no way - we have a right to be condescending/harsh/insulting towards our friends, towards her, towards our Mariah. It was Hero that made MC the pop biggest superstar in Malaysia but I was born as a lamb since VOL and never turned my back on her. I might disagree with her revealing chest area that way too much for our culture here but her music is always the reason why I should stay with her for all these years. For Malaysian in general, she is the voice. We did welcomed Salena Gomez with open arms but we never celebrate her as the VIP in music. Malaysian culture might be too strict with her sexiness but her music is always refered as the best in the game. If she dropped any new music soon, like anyone else in the board, I will be extremely happy. Oh yes... to Eric the boss of MCA, thank you for the effort, I visit this board twice a day just to check on anything Mariah and read every single message here. To all - happy new year 2017. Re: Yeah positive fans (70,463) (70,470) by Terna from Nigeria For someone who only makes an appearance here when you have something negative to say or a complaint to make (scroll down and read your own messages), I'm not surprised you're one of the "since the beginning" fans. You guys have a weird sense of entitlement like Mariah owes you something for being there from the start. The real lambs are those fans who love Mariah unconditionally, taking the good with the bad. Yes there might be things she does we might not agree with but we recognize she's human first and foremost which means she too is prone to error. The real lambs are those who have embraced Mariah's work wholeheartedly not seeing a divide (old Mariah/new Mariah crap) but instead a woman who has evolved, grown and changed over time for the better as is the way it should be. We trust Mariah's sense of judgement (after all she has kept going 26+ years in an industry that's difficult and stayed relevant all by herself ) and don't ridicule her, nor criticize in a destructive way. We stay optimistic and unapologetic when it comes to Mariah and recognize she's the best to do it ever (all caps) anyway you wanna spin it, I don't care who your fave is, he or she can never be compared to my fave - Mariah Carey, the best of the best. Which means I will probably get halfway through and put on Almost Home which is actually awesome (ha, see, just call me Mr Positivity, eh). And you must remember Juan. I sent you his bat-shit crazy emails. I tried to find them again for a giggle but had deleted them. Still, as bat-shit crazy as he is, I'm kinda glad he got to meet her now. It looks like it meant the world to him. The segment has actually made me have a rethink on what I'd say to Mariah if I ever got to say something to her. I think she must be fed up with "your music saved my life, you mean the world to me, I love you" endless speeches accompanied by life story/sob story. I think I'd probably just say "You really helped me get through, and your voice always kept me company, so cheers", smile, shake her hand and leave her be. I feel like I'm the only one allowed to crush on you and your posts. And here's some positivity for you all. I was listening to my 90s playlist today and the Jermaine Dupri mix of Never Forget You came on. Isn't that one of her most underrated vocals? I love the second half of Music Box, besides "I've Been Thinking About You" what a waste. Happy New Year, and Eric please keep up this wonderful site. But you know next year is Butterfly's 20 year anniversary. I actually don't consider her life any of my business. If she wants to let her boobs fly, there's nothing I can do or say about it. It isn't what I would choose for myself, but I won't burn her at the stake either. It's wasted energy. Mariah has her issues just like anyone, but it requires looking a little deeper instead of constantly reaching for the torch and a match each time something happens in Mariahverse. I've seen a lot of "real lambs" on this board since Eric started the Archives, but most of them went away after a year or two. So I wonder, and you might tell me. (New York City) All these people of moment who some people on this board want Mariah to work with will only be looked at as she is hopping on trends to score a hit. Miguel released a good project this year and with no Adorn type song to boot the album flopped. Frank Ocean only received industry attention and praise because he came out other than that no one really cared or cares about him. With both Bruno and The Weeknd I appreciate both of these artists because they have their own lane. I think work with either one of these two would do wonders for MC. For now she is living on the laurels of her past and I think she has put in the work and the years to reap from it. Expecially with her show, I mean come on Mariah drop something, imagine if she dropped a new single on New Years Eve and then it would be available to download. I would rather read insightful comments or opinions like yours any day of the week than the [censored] delusional garbage some of this lot come out with - often completely fabricated, interspersed with redundant camp shite like "Yaassss queen" and "Preach" and "Dahlin'", sprinkled with a few slaps on each others backs for promulgating the same delusion for each other. What it is (70,451) by George Golden from UK Mariah's World is actually growing on me. You can tell that she has got a good heart the way she interacts with her staff. The part when she was late to the Luxembourg concert was a very humane moment because you could tell that she was genuinely sorry. We as fans do give MC a hard time, but I must say no one is perfect. Her music has saved so many lives and that's why she is still very relevant today. The diva act is really what it is, an act. (Friday 30 December 2016; 13:59)
