Mariah's World ratings (69,782)
by Lila from United States
| |
|
|
Deadline has updated the previous article and the ratings are 2.2M viewers, E and Bravo combined. Here's the article. I still don't know where the the author originally pulled 4M viewers from. That's a big leap and I don't think it was just down to a typo because the person was giving the show props for being a top 5 E show and everything. Anyway, the numbers are low for the show to have had good promotion and aired on two different channels.

Re: Mariah Carey: "I don't know what people think of me" (69,776) (69,780)
by darrian liu from taiwan

Well his post isn't wrong. Mariah is obviously in her own bubble - she confirms it with "I don't know what people think of me". That's really harmful for her career. Although it is good to ignore baseless bashing comments, it is also good to take the constructive criticisms in consideration as well. If Mariah says that, that means she's really shielded from every public comment about her. That means that she receives little to no feedback on her, and looking at how people around her are all yes-people and enablers (especially Stella), there's no way Mariah can receive any constructive criticisms. Look, I would never judge a woman for wearing anything revealing or anything really, I'm all for body positivity. I won't really complain about the twins (not dembabies) but her fashion choices have been questionable. Who wears lingerie to the red carpet? These fashion choices are odd, which can be caused by just how shielded she is from public opinion. Her "docuseries" is straight up reality TV, it's obvious. I've recently watched Beyoncé's 2013 documentary Life is But a Dream and compared to MW, the differences are really noticeable. If Mariah really thinks MW is a docuseries (like she always insists), then she must be very detached from reality. Mariah's image is in shambles right now and the fact that she does absolutely nothing to try and fix it (whatever she does seems to worsen her image) shows that she is disconnected from reality. Sure, she says that she's not like what she seems to be, but with her constantly talking about things like lighting, people would assume that she really is just like what she says she isn't. So no, Andrew isn't a sad human being, he's just not deluded and is ready to serve up some cold, bloody truth.

What on earth (69,779)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Mariah out there wearing next to nothing, when it's clearly cold outside and even Stella is wearing a heavy shawl. No wonder she caught cold. What on earth is this bodysuit obsession really? It's just so bizarre. Who wears bodysuits off stage? Let's not name Lady Gaga and Madonna, because if y'all can't group her in the same category as Mariah as an artist, then y'all shouldn't group her in the same category ensemble wise.

Mariah Carey: "I don't know what people think of me" (69,775)
by Andrew from UK

Mariah is increasingly full of [censored] attempting to continue to peddle nonsense she's been peddling her entire life. It's not a [censored] documentary. It's a scripted reality show. Documentaries educate. Mariah's World is cheap light entertainment. And her lawyers "lured" her into American Idol for their commission? Always a [censored] victim. Nothing to do with the fact that she turned herself into a Music Account instead of a Music Artist. She's played the victim her entire life. And if she really doesn't know what people (non fans) think of her she's in big trouble. And even fans don't buy this "I act like a cheap immoral [censored] but that's not the real me" any more. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably won't [censored] sink in water. Always the same bullshit from her. [censored] What the [censored] is wrong with her? She keep blowing the bloody things up. When her policy is to constantly cut outfits down to reveal breast implants, safe to say she's disconnected from reality. She mustn't know what Joe Public thinks of her. Because he thinks she's a cheap punchline that has a successful song once a year for two weeks. What the bloody hell happened to her? She's a disaster of a human being at the moment.

Thanks for the articles. They let me know that I'm reading the ratings correctly. I still don't know why the article for MW made no specific mention of L7, L3, C7 or C3. I can't stand poorly written articles but whatever. Overall, the tv ratings of these shows are definitely padded. I think there should be two separate ratings given. The current system is really all about the networks getting paid, anyway, so L7 or C7 is fine but when it comes to clocking the actual popularity of a show, I don't think it works because it could count one person more than once. For instance, if the show is being watched on DVR, and is viewed three times, but by the same person, then that person shouldn't be counted three times. Also, if it takes 7 days for someone to watch a show then they're not that interested, they're watching because nothing else is on. Including reruns are okay but I don't think anything past 3 days should be counted. Too much convolution and yes imaginary viewers lol.

"Dude"? "Punk"? You've spent so long on your jollies in the United States you are starting to talk like them, hah. All your posts are you ostensibly showing off about how you (and your friends) can afford to book flights and hotels abroad and front row tickets to see Mariah and how you are buying her a rock equivalent to the Cullinan diamond (maybe I exaggerated there). Most people in the world can't afford such things and I think almost everyone on this website would love to do them but most of them can't do it. Reads very much like you are showing off which requires making other people feel down-heartened. So yes, I would say it to your face. Underneath the lovers in St Pancras International. Tonight at 1000hrs. I'll be in the dark shades and trench coat. Codeword: "The Russian bear flies by night." Bring vodka.

I just found this review of the first episode. It says everything I have thought about the show, but says it in the nicest ways. Lol. I love the ways he describes the engagement and its aftermath. The writer is a lamb too.

Um, I will pass this time. The Westworld theme of "these violent delights bring violent ends" is not a good look this era. The reality show alreadyseems a bit of fan fiction in action. IMO.

Awww, I saw that too and Roe Roe looked like she was thinking "Could you two just let me finish my introduction?" They are just adorable. The video Nick put out last year of Roc and Roe decorating the Christmas tree is so endearing. I'm still trying to figure out why he mentioned Mickey Mouse being at Disney.
