Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night (69,060) by Malcolm from Asia
She lost her passion. All she wants right now is the attention and not the artistry anymore. Of course she don't want to be in that curtain call because she's too big for that. And she opened the show, will she wait there for a few hours just to be with the other singers at the end? Of course not, she's Mariah Carey, she must be the one who keeps everyone waiting. I know she can sing completely live, she just lost the enthusiasm, she got too lazy to put some work. All I want for Christmas is for her to do a raw, live performance like what she did in Jimmy Fallon. Don't fool everyone Mariah, it's unfair. Accept that your voice has changed and have limitations now and embrace it, I bet everyone will love and respect you even more as a musician and will probably credit your contribution in the music industry the way it must be. I hope you will soon realize that diamonds are not forever. Wishing you more genuine happiness and essence this coming 2017.

Divas Live (69,059) by darrian liu from taiwan
I'm quite disappointed in Mariah for this. She should've prepared more. She's the headliner there, shouldn't she be singing through the whole thing? I would understand the "perform only AIWFCIY" thing if she's billed as a guest performer but her face is literally the biggest image on the poster of VH1 Divas 2016. It should've been like Beacon Theatre, only this time it's with more performers.

Tis the season to be jolly (69,058) by DK from USA
It looks like a lot of people here are ready to "be ashamed" of being Mariah fans and somehow find her recent behaviors scandalous. In your private lives you never have a fun smooch with a friend just for the silliness of it all? Or have a glass of wine? Yes these moments are being captured by the cameras but I don't think the general public analyzes every single move official or not of Mariah the same way that the "lambs" and/or "goats" do. Wait a minute Mariah looks fat? And she is not properly displaying her assets? None of this is new. Mariah is a person but also a brand and the show must go on. I never believe the numbers, well she has millions and should just retire gracefully. Retire before you are 50 while you have been on an ADHD whirlwind since you were 18? It's just not possible and only she can make that call. Mariah is ultra talented and she will always be judged about every single move, especially regarding her talent that even during her peak days has never been acknowledged properly but she did them all one better by continuing to create more music. For those who say she doesn't care care about the music, it's the people who don't (#Beautiful; Me... I Am Mariah were great) - it's simply a sign of the times. People don't buy records the same way and especially grow bored super quickly of acts, especially ones that have been in the business for a super long time like Mariah. So Mariah is playing the game for once - let's hope it's outcomes are positive. 2017. What I like about her recent acts is that she is putting more of a show with some production value behind it. The dancers are putting more of an effort - the VH1 AIWFCIY performance was definitely fresh. Good things are happening for MC and I hope her E show is successful enough to help her launch her next music project. Happy holidays.

Re: Giving the people what they want (69,042) (69,057) by Lila from United States
Telling someone that they should be on time is not a witch hunt. No one said that Mariah's being late was anything new but that's the point. She should not be late. It should not be a normal occurrence. Let's not act like Mariah does anything, significant enough, for charity, worthy of being highlighted by the press. And before anyone rushes to twist my words, I did not say that she does nothing for charity, just nothing worthy of great attention. It's not enough to just give money or be seen at this evening event or that in the name of charity, or have someone else do all the leg work for your charity and you show up once in a while, etc. You have to be an active participant all the time, and be on your Angelina Jolie, literally. Not gonna touch the Nick thing because what needs to be said has already been said. We already know these stunts are hype for the show. You're not telling us anything we don't know there. Here's what we're saying: We don't want it. Why does this docuseries need hype of the kind that we've been fed anyway? She can keep it. That beach crap for a skit? That tragedy should be buried and never heard of again. No, this is the right context: Mariah played herself moving into a big house, that she didn't need, for a man she barely knew, when she could've stayed in New York or at least rented a smaller/less expensive house. Who cares how much it cost her? She's not broke, as far as we know, and it's her fault she has to pay. No one gives a f*ck if Mariah dates but 1) date someone because you truly care for them and they make you happy, not because you want to prove x, y, z to a, b, c, the media, the public or anyone else and 2) don't drag them up and through Roc and Roe's life and space.

Re: MAC Mariah Beauty Icon launch slumber party (69,054) (69,056) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Dahlin', that's because I didn't put that suggestion (and rant) up here on MCA at that time. Haha no seriously though, it was after many posts from myself and Shelly that we suddenly heard that she'll be collaborating with MAC. We even discussed packaging and colors of the products and what products should be included (although the packaging that they went with was way better). Then there was the time B and I went about petitioning for Mariah to try out Balmain and lo and behold after a while she was doing that. So there are at least some things that Stella listened to haha.

Re: Piers Morgan (69,045) (69,055) by Musti from UK
I don't find anything unbelievable about what he said. We all know she is always late. She was a late arrival for her last Rockefeller performance. She was extremely late to the WMAs a couple of years ago. These are some of the most embarrassing ones that I can remember. Many many other instances, most of which we are not even aware of. Even Ellen called her out recently and I have a feeling M wasn't expecting to be put on the spot. I don't think anyone's going to sit down and have a heart-to-heart with her anymore. She doesn't care. People don't care. She has even managed to put off her diehard lambs (including me). Why would anyone else give a damn anymore? If it wasn't for her gorgeous voice (studio miracle or not), I would've left a long time ago. What she is doing to herself is too painful to watch and to accept. She has reduced herself to absolute gossip trash. I'll pray for new music soon. Other than that I really don't care anymore. Unless she decides to fix herself. But I reckon that ship has long sailed.

I think the MAC collection is brilliant. I'm surprised she didn't do this when she put out the perfume.

So once again we have a little girl lounging around with adult women and men who all are dressed in lingerie. Rolling my eyes so hard right now. Mariah looks great at least. Overall I'm happy that the MAC collection is a good venture that I'm excited about, not trashy, not worrying, and is going well. Good job MAC.

Re: Divas clips (69,038) (69,050) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Apparently she did lip sync (not sure if it was the whole thing or parts), maybe she sang with a loud backing track. There is supposedly a video of the divas taping via FB live and apparently Patti said something along the lines of "she's lip synching" and then said "she told me she's not well" or something like that. I'll post the video if I find it, but honestly I couldn't be bothered. She just sang AIWFCIY and left. She wasn't in the group performance. Anyways all I'll say is she looked great and it looked like she was pretty energetic on stage so I am waiting to see the final version. Hopefully people will like it.

MAC Mariah Beauty Icon launch slumber party (69,049) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So Mariah and MAC held a slumber party for her Beauty Icon line launch. She invited a bunch of beauty bloggers over for a slumber party at a hotel. This is photo 1 and photo 2 of her entrance. This is the video of the entrance. She looks stunning. Mariah literally looks like Barbie here in a Barbie house. Love the lay out they did for the photo booth bed with the pink and the customized covers and the dripping diamonds. Mariah with Patrick Starr. Mariah with another blogger. Here's a group shot. She seems to outshine everyone in the room. Mariah with her social media manager. Mariah with her competent manager.

Re: Divas clips (69,039) (69,047) by IfWeeeeee from Over There
She didn't do an ensemble performance. Her insecurities have gotten the best of her again. I mean, I do side with her though. Why would she humiliate herself further by getting out-sung by the veterans and new comers? At least she's still self-aware on that regard. I wish Patti, at some point during the night, told Mariah to put her implants away some time.

Re: Divas clips (69,039) (69,046) by Shezz from Pk
So from the pictures it seems like Mariah opted out of the group song. Hope there were more singers beyond the camera frame but I highly doubt it. Didn't see Vanessa Williams either.

Piers Morgan (69,045) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
While I respect him for expressing his opinion. I also know that Piers Morgan works for a gossip tabloid and the main objective for gossip tabloids is to sell stories whether they be fact or fiction. Don't get me wrong MC has brought a lot of this negative attention on herself with her antics as of late but I would prefer people who really have MC's best intentions to sit her down and give her the real spit. On another note I can say I don't totally believe everything Piers stated about Mariah in regards to her appearance on AGT.

Re: Divas clips (69,039) (69,044) by Mara from United States
Well, apparently she won't have to worry about how she will pull anything off because AIWFCIY is the only song she sang. No need to worry about being upstaged or doing any duet with Chaka or Patty with prerecorded vocals or live ones because she wasn't even there for the final bow at the end. I wonder why? VH1 advertised her as the headliner and she only sang one song. Kind of disappointing and I don't know, just looks a little disrespectful that she couldn't be on stage with all of them at the end. I guess they all sang Chaka's I'm Every Woman. I have my ideas why she wasn't there but whatever. Perhaps VH1 couldn't afford more than one song by Mimi.

VH1 Divas (69,043) by darrian liu from taiwan
From the clips I think in some parts she sounded identical to the Disney ABC special but in some parts she sounded live. So idk, mixed feelings about this. I just hope that this special, the Disney thing, MW and the upcoming Carpool Karaoke can propel AIWFCIY on the Hot 100. On a side note, AIWFCIY is starting to make big gains and it's pretty obvious that she will debut next week on the Hot 100. Fingers crossed for a top 10.

Giving the people what they want (69,042) by Nikki from usa
There's nothing more despicable than taking gossip as gospel without any context and decide you're going to judge people off that. It really wouldn't require much to turn anyone on Mariah, especially on this board where a good witch hunt is always welcome. When Mariah is sweet, charitable, and dresses like a Mormon nobody cares. She did a great deal of it in 2014 being fully clothed and the media as well as her fan base was nothing but crickets. Can you even name 3 extremely charitable things Mariah did in the past 5 years? Neither could the media because nobody cares. People will always come for Mariah because she's an easy target and there are no consequences. Mariah is known for her tardiness, so that's hardly news, and this guy is complaining about something that happened 7 years ago. Mariah's fiance dumped her and a month later she's "dating" someone else. Nick knocked up a woman he doesn't care about, better not mention that, or the pure hypocrisy that would envelope Mariah's life if she were the one pregnant by someone she didn't care about might become overwhelmingly apparent. What people seem to forget being caught up in the hype is the purpose for this docuseries. Mariah doesn't know when or even if she will ever tour again. She's giving you the best of the best of her live performances, creating music, what it takes to put on a tour, and even bringing back Bianca for kicks. You might find that there isn't staged drama as much as there are skits, you might even find its not Mariah who winds up with Tanaka if you're familiar with Heartbreaker. In which case, Mariah just played a lot of people like a fiddle who will soon find egg on their face. Mariah will get her say in this, so in true fashion, I guess you'd better not watch. She's not a gossip column. I wonder how much Mariah actually spent on the wedding and what that huge mansion lease with a staff of 50 will cost her after Packer left her with his bill? Wait, too much context. Mariah's a cheating golddigger who only cares about herself. She's not a good mom and everyone knows whoever lives with the kids can't date.

Re: Divas clips (69,037) (69,041) by RibbonB from USA
I read from someone who said they were there, that she lipped the AIWFC performance, did the one song and left and that she did not make the final bow with the other divas. So I am not sure why one article said she sang several of her songs.

I understand where you're coming from. I agree Teyanna actually has a nice voice, but she is known more for how she got her body back so quickly after having a baby. I really did not didn't understand why she was added to the show.

Re: Divas clips (69,038) (69,039) by Haiji Toro from USA
Well I'm at a point where I don't really care anymore honestly lol I won't get my hopes up. I'm just wondering how she'll pull that off singing with other divas or in a group. Her lipping in a duet or group would be ridiculous and embarrassing. I just hope she doesn't start throwing shade at the younger singers, like Teyana Taylor. I also heard Sarayia from Empire will be performing as well. At first I wasn't sure about having younger, up and coming singers join but now I think it's good. It's nice to see all different types of divas share the stage, maybe the new ones will learn a little something. Teyana is actually a great singer. I'm just upset that she's now starting to get her name out there after so many years, but in a bad way (half naked in Kanye's video).
