A post-Daydream your era Mariah Carey concert and everything was 100% live? Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No.

Thoughts on WWHL (70,085)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|

1) Living for the Demi shade. This is probably the first time in forever that Mariah addressed a question head on and I appreciate that she gave Demi a read and that too with top notch class. Demi's attack on Mariah was uncalled for. 2) Cringed at the Ariana shade. I am no fan of Ariana, I find her annoying and well don't like her in general, but I do enjoy some of her songs, I'll be honest. I think Mariah really didn't need to add more smoke to fire about her not liking Ariana. 3) She speaks fondly of Beyonce and that Dembabies get along great with Blue Ivy (I'm sure North West is out there throwing daggers for glares right about now haha). 4) I'm a little annoyed as usual by Mariah constantly going off tangent and avoiding questions. Her going on about the decor and her ensemble whenever she wants to avoid questions. Even Andy looked annoyed haha. 5) Mariah's comment about how she won't talk about the truth about her and Tanaka because she wants people to watch the show just cements the fact that it is indeed a scripted show, in case some of y'all "real" *cough delusional cough* fans were thinking this is the real deal. The only way she'll come out looking good about this possible "cheat-ation" (in Wendy's words, please don't censor it Eric, haha I know it's not a real word) story line is if it is revealed that Tanaka is gay or that James was abusive and Tanaka came in to protect Mariah.

Re: Trey Lorenz? Blurred face (70,079) (70,084)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

To be fair, I think Brenda is just pissed off that Mariah has distanced herself from her. Mariah can't possible take "advantage" of her friends because to do that, her friends need to be able to have something she doesn't. All of Mariah's friends are just her employees and these people are not public figures and have nothing to offer her apart from what they are employed to do. Why Trey Lorenz chose not to sign off on being on the show is also a mystery to me and if it's because he doesn't want the drama then more respect to him. I mean if the fact that he stuck with Mariah through thick and thin for so long wasn't enough for me to respect him, then this would seal the deal. But ya I don't see how Mariah can take "advantage" of her friends. I'd understand if this was said about Taylor Swift and her squad, all of them seem to have an agenda to use each others fame to collectively boost their image, but in Mariah's case it's completely different. If anything her employees take advantage of her, as we can see with Stella and some others before her.

Mariah's World (70,083)

After watching all three episodes thus far I come to find that this project was a vehicle to put Stella and her minions on the map in the forefront using Mariah's name, and as much as I ride with her(Mariah) I fault her for allowing such a circus and allowing them to use her for a come up.

Mariah's response to Demi (70,082)

I usually find Mariah's shade a little petty, especially when she goes on WWHL, but I have to say on this occasion I think her response to Demi was justified and well delivered.

So the popular YouTuber Patrick Starr posted this video on his channel with some other YouTubers dancing and "festivating" (as Mariah calls it) to AIWFCIY. This song is just so festive.

O c'mon. Maybe she didn't know, maybe she's got a life. You have all the reasons to be disappointed, but do you really have to be so judgmental? Everybody's got a life and Mariah too.

I was really upset by this. I was almost certain having DJ Suss One as their DJ would prompt her to show up even for a minute. I kept checking The Lambover IG page for updates and no Mariah. I guess I shouldn't be shocked, but I am. They do so much for her.

I always knew being called Mr. Carey would affect him eventually. It makes sense why he worked so much. He had to prove to the world that he was worthy. I don't agree with his approach, but I understand why he was doing it. I can totally see both of their egos preventing them from mending their relationship. I'm just glad that they managed to somewhow put there egos aside and come up with a plan to make moments special for the kids. You and Marissa's summaries were on point.

Beacon Lambover - Mariah no-show (70,076)
by Sheila from United States
| |
|

Dear Mariah, at this point in your life, you could have walked 20 steps into the Beacon Hotel (where you were performing), where 75 of your greatest fans were having a Lamb party and said "hi". This really shows how out of touch she is, she had the chance to give back and she went to dinner instead with her team of parasites.

I will give my own run down for the lazy folks and the team Nick version, since I was accused of that. 1. Nick had and has his own money, and hated being characterized as Mr. Mariah Carey, even though he played it off during the marriage, that kind of thing eventually took it's toll on his health. That and the fact that there was a hierarchy in his marriage instituted by their teams etc. and eventually Mariah started treating him that way too. 2. He felt their marriage became unbalanced/unequally yoked when that started rearing its ugly head. 3. They also had a difference in child rearing at times. 4. He does say he trusts Mariah, that she didn't really discuss James but he never believed it was real, that it became part of Mariah's strategy. No mention of back up dancer. 5. The interviewer's questions were very compelling, she discussed introducing others to children in marriage too soon can be damaging to kids. Nick asserts that when the kids are with him, they are with him only and obviously his mom. 6. He was 100% faithful during the marriage although of course he has eyes. 7. He will always love and have gratitude for Mariah for who she is, what she has done re his children and taking care of him when he was sick. 8. He admitted that even though they identified the problem that ego got in the way and space and time apart contributed to them not overcoming the problem of a spiritual nature esp after the loss of Mariah's pastor. The meat of this starts about 45 minutes into the hour plus interview.

Great review. I did find it interesting how Mariah turned to the camera and asked "Who put me in charge of this?" which I found interesting because she's all of their boss, not Stella. So it should be Mariah who ensures that her team is working well, not Stella (who obviously has a temper and reacts aggressively without trying to resolve a problem first). Stella is the last person you want to try and resolve a conflict. I'm so done with Molly, I want her gone now. I feel sorry for her because it is so obvious that she's not right for this, she had delusions about what it would be like, and seems to have no intuition or self-awareness. Danielle is fantastic lol.

Gossip Cop / Mediatakeout (70,073)

Why is Stella and her website Gossip Cop so surprised by Meditakeout posting those pics ?That's what they do. They are notorious for talking about how the paparazzi take messed up photos and still post the same photos. Thats how they make their money. Now by GC posting this article about how hypocritical one site is, they've just given people more of a reason to go check out the pics on Meditakeout. "We're not going to post said disrespectful pics, but we're going to post a full article telling you just where you can go see them." Lol.

MW episode 3 : Mimi L review (70,069)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
1) The SIO snippet at the beginning made me go back and listen to it a couple of times. Love that song. 2) Love Mariah's ensemble in the scene where Mary Ann is still complaining about Anthony. Mariah is in her Ms Weiss mode, giving out free therapy sessions to her employees. 3) Ugh Marah in that denim jacket, vision of perfection. She looks like her 2013 self. If nothing else, this show will at least have some of Mariah's best looks. She looks so beautiful in every shot. 4) If only Stella would take some of the more damaging rumors and bring those to Mariah instead of ones that are not even believable (they were discussing the rumor about Mariah wanting endangered species at her wedding). 5) Love that they used some footage from WBT and SIO performances. I want these more than the Stella and Molly drama. 6) So is Stella just hiring one inexperienced employee after another? She hired this new inexperience hairstylist for Mariah because she had some beef with Danielle. 7) Ok so apparently the reason Danielle was left out was because she was asking for a lot of money and causes a lot of drama. Rich seeing Stella talking about others causing drama. Side note: Mariah did her own hair after she was fed up with the new inexperienced Larry. 8) Anthony brings up how some of Mariah's former employees are talking trash about Stella. And Stella goes like she is very protective of Mariah because she's seen her former teams and no one cared about Mariah, they had a self serving agenda and they just cared about the lifestyle and making money. I'm like, Stella, girl, are you talking about yourself? There is another scene where Mariah gets an article that paints Stella in a negative light and Stella goes into a "women empowerment" speech in her talking head session. 9) So half of the episode is about Stella and her getting angry about the articles and her threatening to sue people and all the crap. And now Molly is back again so I'm expecting the next half to be about Molly. Seriously why is there more footage of Stella's assistant than there is of Mariah. She isn't even directly involved with Mariah. 10) The scene about Stella's competent team not knowing there's a time difference between countries. After so many mess ups I still don't get why Mariah thinks Stella is a good manager. 11) Danielle: "If I was Stella, I would have probably known that there's an hour time difference." I love Danielle already. 12) Mariah is walking on stage after being an hour late while the crowd is booing and Mariah goes "Am I being booed really?" and Stella goes "no they are not booing, no they're not, no they're not, no they're not". Haha probably exactly what Stella tells Mariah on a regular basis with all the recent embarrassing moments. 13) It's nice to see Mariah being very apologetic that she's late and she talks about how she hopes she can win her fans back after making them wait for so long and talks about how it's her job to give them a good experience. Then she goes on stage and asks "Do you forgive me?" It was cute. 14) Tanaka talking for the 10th time (in this episode alone) about how he hopes to have a conversation with Mariah and catch up. Dude lay off, she's engaged. Stop being thirsty. 15) Kris Buckle is just hilarious. His scene about him talking about how his dad thought he's having an affair with Mariah when he first started working for her because why else would she fly him around the world. Then the other scene with him and Danielle having to share a bed and Kris going into a country accent. He's hilarious, I can see why he gels well with Mariah. "Sleep next to the hussy." Dead. 16) Danielle: "The thing with Stella is she's always so loud, I don't know if she has a hearing problem or anything." Danielle, girl, I can't. "Stella she thinks she's part of the Russian mafia, and I'm the Italian mafia, and in history the Italians are much stronger than the Russians." Historical mess haha. Can't believe Stella is going off on Danielle after Danielle called Stella out for continuously flipping the middle finger and using the F word a lot on Danielle. Stella girl, calm down. 17) Stella trying to get Danielle fired and talking about bringing in "new people, new energy". Mariah rolling her eyes at that and saying "Larry was new" and then rolling over and giving her back to Stella haha. Stella finally realizes Mariah won't fire Danielle so she goes to plan 2 and says she won't add to Mariah's stress and that she's willing to do anything for Mariah even if she doesn't like the person. I think Danielle low key called Stella a punk. Also saying how it shouldn't be "The Stella Show" all the time. 18) Mariah having another successful therapy sessions this time with Danielle and Stella. Side note Stella went on about how there shouldn't be a "girl on girl crime", first of all Stella, look up "crime" in the dictionary. Secondly Danielle's expression to that line, priceless. Mariah just asked if they're willing to work on it, Danielle said "yes" but of course Stella needs more screen time so she goes on a monologue. Stella talking about how the only reason Danielle wasn't brought on tour was because of her agent's issue and nothing personal, but in the beginning of the episode Stella clearly talked about how she'd rather Mariah do her own hair than have Danielle back and also about how she doesn't like Danielle. So what is the truth?

LR All The Hits featuring special guest star MC (70,068)

I ordered five tickets to the Columbus, Ohio date. I'm excited. This will be my second time seeing her in two years. I was apprehensive before attending the second night of her Vegas residency. My apprehension was blown away when she hit the fist of several, obviously live, high notes and whistles. Since that night not only has her voice improved so has her stage presence. Why can't she repeat these type of performances on live tv anymore. I think it's her stage freight. She's at ease at concerts for fans because the audiences are mostly lambs. Is anyone else going to the Columbus, Ohio?

It was bloody brilliant. She was playfully festive and she sang along. And those celebrity cameos were a stroke of genius. It's already went viral. AIWFCIY is going to hit the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100. I go see it becoming her 19th #1. AIWFCIY is Mariah's signature song. I bought another copy of Merry Christmas. Mariah was at her creative and commercial. Her voice sounds ethereal. MC might by Mariah's best album. I really hope she records a gospel album with Loris Holland and Gospel choir (and Trey and the Tatum sisters). She needs to clean her image up and appear more humble (dressing more conservatively especially hiring stylist like Rachel Zoe).

Thank you for posting the interview. It is a long interview (an hour and a half) so for those of you who don't feel like listening, I'll give you the run down. 1. Nick feels that their marriage lost a lot of spiritual power when Mariah's bishop died because he was someone who frequently prayed for their marriage. They never found another church home or spiritual center after his death. He believes that there was a lot of spiritual warfare in their marriage. 2. Nick believes that Mariah's team made him the enemy to protect their positions and started planting seeds into Mariah's head that he was just a boytoy, a gold-digger and he eventually started feeling like Mariah and her team didn't really respect him. He claims that he tried to play it off but the constant belittling of him from outside forces bruised his ego. (Maybe this is why Mariah cleaned house with her team after her separation from Nick? Maybe she blames them for causing discord in her marriage?) 3. Nick didn't believe that the Packeriah relationship was real. He thought that Mariah only wanted James for ego-stroking purposes and he says that James played himself trying so hard to chase her. 4. He believes that if they would have stayed together, they would have eventually been too resentful of each other for it not to affect their children. 5. Their different views on child-rearing really was an issue, way beyond the Barbara Walters interview where we first started suspecting it. 6. Mariah's desire to wait until she was married for sex made Nick want to get married much faster. (Big surprise lol.) Mind you, I'm wording these points in the most blunt way possible just to get straight to the point, but Nick did express these issues in a much more sugarcoated, politically correct way than I am right now. Anyone else who listened, please fill in any noteworthy gaps that I might have missed from the interview.

Nick didn't elaborate greatly but what he did say was saddening to me. At the same time, it wasn't surprising but basically what a few of us have already noticed and elaborated on, in one way or another, and that's Mariah's overall inability to form boundaries between herself and her staff. The old crew was around too much, the new crew is even worse, Stella's constant presence, MW showing just how much she depends on Stella's opinion although it's crystal clear that this woman has not one iota of life figured out her own self, her recent admission of belief that her lawyers only wanted her to do AI for their own commission, etc. Then it seems like she picks the wrong time and, even more, the wrong people to go against the grain with. I truly hope that one day soon Mariah learns how to be happy by herself, truly strong and confident, and that she doesn't owe any of these staff anything.
