Last album (107,989) by Bobby A from United States
MC would never do that. She is too much of a perfectionist. Kudos to Cher.

You are right but The difference is that Mariah is a writer, creator and a composer as well unlike Cher and she still has some music in her even if her voice can no longer support her. And I think it'd be amazing to hear what she can still create. Touring yes I'd agree one hundred percent, she needs to stop like yesterday.

I know you didn't mention Mariah Edward, but it just felt like the natural progression for this topic. One more album then she can hang up her earpiece.

That's what I call someone being real and having respect for her audience. She's had a long and celebrated career.

I just saw that Cher is releasing her last album. She says there comes a time when the voice of no longer fit for singing, my voice is not the same. And she's trying to record the album as quickly as possible. I thought this was very honest of Cher to admit almost similar to Jon Bon Jovi admitting his voice isn't the same. It takes a strong person to admit something that is your trademark and what [you're] known for. Good luck to Cher.

New album/new era (107,984) by Angel from USA
It's time for this new album. I'm sure MC has so much creativity and great songs to gift us. The anticipation has been a bit.

"Immediacy and instant gratification." Sadly but true.

This new era is all about immediacy and instant gratification. All the struggles we are suffering is the price we have to pay.

My observation (107,981) by Zachariah from Croatia
Agreed, times are tough in the world and every day I see more people struggling with mental health or health in general, finances, relationships, superficiality. Something needs to change. Empathy is missing and it is an alarming thought.

My observation (107,979) by Bobby A from United States
Did anyone else noticed last year, we became like family to each other? We showed more love and support to each other than in 2023 and 2022. Maybe it is just me. I read so many celebratory and love posts last year from all of us. Let's keep it going in 2025 to support each other around the world, those in L.A. and of course MC. I listen to Coast To Coast with George Noory at night and it just has me thinking more about what is happening everywhere in our world.

Lambs, this 2014 concert is just amazing. I haven't listened to it for ages. Her voice is crystal clear and you can't tell the little lipped parts apart.

California fires (107,976) by Norman from USA
Yup. It's been craziness over here. My sister and mom had just moved to LA from Minnesota in October and we found them a nice duplex rental in Altadena in December. Well, that's where the Eaton fire is, and this past Wednesday everything they owned burned down with the house. It was wild. They came to stay with me for a couple of days because they were going to have power outages in the area - that was Tuesday night. By Wednesday morning it was all gone. It's been difficult to process and know how to feel.

The main reason my sister moved back with my mom is because my mom has dementia, and most of our family is here in LA. Moving back was seen as good because we'd get to share in her day-to-day care, you know? Now everything's gone. And there are thousands of people without a home. We're blessed that they're still alive and that they could stay with me. A lot of people weren't that fortunate.

Please keep the people of LA in your thoughts. Thank you.

California fires (107,975) by Bobby A from United States
MC sold her Bel Air mansion with Nick in 2015. Her Calabasas chateau has been on and off the market since 2020. I don't know its current status in 2025. Homes in Calabasas have been affected by the Kenneth fire. It is just horrible what has happened to so many people in L.A. My heart goes out to everyone.

Although it is almost impossible for Mariah to ever be shady to Beyoncé, according to this interview where Mariah said her concept was stolen, Beyoncé's album was dropped two months before that.

Did you notice that Columbia/Legacy didn't release a CD version like they did Music Box in 2023? To me it says a lot how the AR executives feel about Rainbow compared to Music Box. I would love to have a CD version.

I am trying to be optimistic. If we don't get a new single by June or July, I don't think a new album is coming again this year.

Jarring (107,966) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
So, I've been obsessed with my Rainbow 25 vinyl I got from my parents for Christmas. After endless listens, I understand why I've found it such a difficult album to vibe to.

Bliss is one of the best, most fitting, and gorgeous songs MC has ever created. It just fits her and no one else. Then suddenly, without warning, I'm b*tch slapped with that early-oughts Destiny's Child/P!nk beat. I was up in the clouds, floating... suddenly I'm getting hit with a guitar string pick, and a jarring beat. The instrumentation over took a Mariah/Usher collaboration.

That shouldn't have happened. Usher and Mariah both deserved more from their collaboration.

Mariah lost her mind like someone had just swapped her Louis Vuitton heels for a pair of knockoff flip-flops. As if the average listener could actually tell the difference between the version that got released and the one she wanted. But that was the perfectionist version of Mariah minus a pill or two.
