And she's trying to record the album as quickly as possible. I thought this was very honest of Cher to admit almost similar to Jon Bon Jovi admitting his voice isn't the same. My sister and mom had just moved to LA from Minnesota in October and we found them a nice duplex rental in Altadena in December. Well, that's where the Eaton fire is, and this past Wednesday everything they owned burned down with the house. It was wild. They came to stay with me for a couple of days because they were going to have power outages in the area - that was Tuesday night. By Wednesday morning it was all gone. It's been difficult to process and know how to feel. The main reason my sister moved back with my mom is because my mom has dementia, and most of our family is here in LA. Moving back was seen as good because we'd get to share in her day-to-day care, you know? Now everything's gone. And there are thousands of people without a home. We're blessed that they're still alive and that they could stay with me. A lot of people weren't that fortunate. Please keep the people of LA in your thoughts. Thank you. After endless listens, I understand why I've found it such a difficult album to vibe to. Bliss is one of the best, most fitting, and gorgeous songs MC has ever created. It just fits her and no one else. Then suddenly, without warning, I'm b*tch slapped with that early-oughts Destiny's Child/P!nk beat. I was up in the clouds, floating... suddenly I'm getting hit with a guitar string pick, and a jarring beat. The instrumentation over took a Mariah/Usher collaboration. That shouldn't have happened. Yes her business side seems to be pretty ambiguous but we are barely a week into January. She has plenty of time to get her shit together and give us MC16 this fall. I don't think she's hanging out with Anderson [.Paak] just for us to discuss their chemistry. They are cooking something. Her not having a contract/label is probably the reason we are not hearing much about MC16. She has repeatedly said it is coming.
