Now a full album produced by Dev Hynes would get MC for sure six more Grammy Awards.

I want to manifest Mariah working more with Blood Orange (Devote Hynes). I loved "Giving Me Life" on "Caution", and I loved his work with Solange Knowles on the "True" EP. I think the production on his songs (I guess you'd call his style alt-R&B/chill wave) and a more detached vocal would work well with Mariah's current voice.

Ya I know GML is a fan favorite, unpopular open but I don't really listen to it haha. But I'm good with a mix of songs but I do feel at least her 1st and 2nd single should be upbeat and more catchy. And a good investment on the visuals. Bring in them celeb connections.

I'm going to pull an RA and put it out there that I'm manifesting a March release or announcement in March from MC. Her new post kinda seems like she's ready to kick off a new era, she's also receiving an iHeartRadio Icon award in March. I had given up hope on a new album so I'm being cautiously optimistic. Also I hope whoever presents the award (and if there's a tribute) it's someone relevant.

Has anyone on the board ever ordered cookies from here? I always wondered what made Mariah want to do this, but it must be making money if it's still in existence. The reviews I see on Google are not very good lol.

Favorite cover song on the wrong album (108,045)

"I Want to Know What Love Is" definitely fit in with her 90s output more than on "Memoirs". She covered a lot of similar 80s power ballads on her 90s albums.
I think it would have been cool to hear her cover "One More Try" during that period as well. The state of her voice just wasn't cutting it on the "Me I Am Mariah" recording of that song.

I was thinking yesterday about all of the things that I dislike about I Want To Know What Love Is. IWTKWLI was on the wrong album. It would have sounded better on Butterfly replacing Outside. Additionally, I have three reasons why IWTKWKLI should have been recorded 12 years earlier.
1. The three minutes and 27 seconds song length would have sounded perfectly on Butterfly. 2. MC's voice was in better shape on Butterfly than Memoirs. 3. Walter Afansieff's piano playing and production would have soared IWTKWLI to the top of the charts.

Robert-Anthony, I'm so glad people are finally fed up with cancel culture. It's like we're been policed for about anything we say. What happened to the Dixie Chicks should never happen again, regardless of your political leanings. Carrie slayed, period. I would love for someone to ask Snoop Dogg in his face why he performed, he would obliterate them. When you talk at people instead of talking to them, you realize why things happened the way they did. And I'm a Democrat, not a radical one though.

Steve, it was just an innocent post about Carrie Underwood's performance and how she came out on top. There was nothing political about the post. Can we move past 2024? There are great things to look forward to in 2025 and beyond like MC's long awaited new music, the MCA family is growing, the first new daytime soap opera in 25 years, Beyond The Gates debuts on CBS in one month, Finn is Luna father on B&B, and I am moving back to the Atl this summer.

Are you kidding? I can't believe anyone is being pro-Trump here of all places. I mean for obvious reasons. Yeah great night that I watched 0 seconds of, in the sense that now all of those performers have shown us their asses. I think we were told a few months ago that politics don't belong here. I don't know why the webmaster would put these messages through.
I come here to read about Mariah, not Carrie Underwood or heaven forbid our racist felon of a president.

Robert-Anthony, I've always thought that an MC and Maxwell joint world tour would be amazing. Maxwell is a great performer and has hits. They would sell out arenas all over the world. Of course, MC would be last in the line up but they both love R&B, are from the same era and would be a great night of music.

Mimi, you may be on to something. MC hasn't had too many releases or ceremonies in the month of March. Maybe March is going to be a special anniversary for MC. By the way, I hope she is done with these Vegas shows. Her time there should come to an end this year. I would love a Maxwell and Mimi 20-date tour this summer for their fans. I have to agree with Brandon. But it would be really nice if Mariah surprises us with a confident acapella version in the future. Or just a live version of a new song. Maybe on an event which is not watched by so many people around the world. That the pressure wouldn't be so high.

RL, let me jump in. MC is already a nervous wreck performing at high profile live events. She gets terribly afraid. Plus she loves a pre-recorded moment so that she doesn't have to try to hit the studio notes live or worry about her voice cracking. In addition, her voice is very unreliable these days and she knows that. If her sound went out, I don't know that she would pull off a good live acapella moment like Carrie these days. She's too dependent on pre-recorded vocals these days. This is my opinion and I'm not changing it lol.

1992 MC would have done exactly what Carrie did. However, 2013 MC would have asked the inaugural committee member, Senator Amy Klobuchar, to ask the sound technician to fix the problem before she could sing the song. I wish MC would get the same business mindset as Dolly Parton. Dolly will release an album by any means necessary without the mindset of having a hit album. I have seen Dolly release more Cracker Barrel and Wal-Mart exclusives than any other artist during the past 15 years. Finally, Dolly released eight independent label albums between 1991 and 2022.
