Migrate (107,228) by Tevin from USA
Those songs are good too. E=MC2 really has no skips for me. I'm even starting to like OOC, even though I hated that song in the past.

Migrate (107,227) by Randy from USA
You know I'm on team Bye Bye so I could care less about a viral Migrate moment. I never knew it. Everyday of my life. I wish. I wish I wish I wish as time goes by. Wait. I have an idea. All great TikTokers that sing can sing that final ad-lib and get cute little kids to come out from behind them and wave bye bye to the camera and sing the backing parts. Now that's a viral moment.

I do wish sometimes that I shared the same enthusiasm for Migrate as some of you on this board do. Cruise Control, I'm That Chick and OOC were true missed opportunities.

Good ideas. She could always update the lyrics a bit too.

Migrate (107,223) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Maybe if a high school cheerleading squad or a couple of high school besties created a football jamboree or homecoming dance routine to an instrumental track, then it would go viral. The lyrics are kind of outdated now singing about getting ready to go to the club and being at the club. No one sings or raps about being at club now. Probably one of MC's most missed opportunities for a number one song. It really makes me wonder if L.A. Reid was really running Def Jam in 2008. He just lacked the same enthusiasm for E=MC2 that he had for TEOM.

I don't know why this happened, but all day today I've been thinking of ways to make Migrate blow up on Tiktok. I know it sounds a bit dated but it's still a banger. Any ideas anyone?

Just a Merry Christmas thought (107,221) by Shezz from Pk
That would be amazing but not an easy feat to pull. Rumour (insider) has it she will release a song from the vault in support of MC30 like she did with MB30 in November. That does sound exciting, I'm sure there are collaborations as well. I hope Where Are You Christmas will be the new song but I doubt it as it was not part of the Merry Christmas project and came in much later. If she does include it, I will forgive her for sleeping on MC16.

Just a Merry Christmas thought (107,219) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Do you think a Merry Christmas duets album could be one of MC's surprises to celebrate the anniversary? She could use her original vocals and just have other artists sing on the songs. I think it could work and make the album sell huge this holiday season. It could feature Post Malone, Brandy, Trey Songz, Kelly Clarkson, The Clark Sisters, Charlie Wilson, and Chris Brown. Just a thought this Sunday. I trust MC is going to celebrate the anniversary in a huge way.

What do the Lambs think about the Bruno Mars' and Lady Gaga's surprise duet, Die With Smile? I like it. I think the two sound good together.

Knocking MIH and FLAB for the middle of the road, pedestrian Through The Rain and Can't Take That Away is a wild take.

Maybe it's because she just learned that her sister Alison is in hospice care and close to death. Naw. She doesn't care about Alison.

Make It Fly Like a Bird (107,213) by Randy from USA
Mariah really loves Fly Like a Bird it seems. She performs it to a crescendo at many of her concerts. She's always loved Make It Happen for some reason or another, performing it at Divas 98 when she had a gazillion other songs to choose from. Neither one were massive hits but moreso as a fan, out of all her inspirational songs, neither of those do anything for me. I lump them with Hero. When I needed to get through my commute to work each morning after my supervisor promoted his side chick and a man's man over me in 2017, I remember playing Through The Rain every single morning to my eyes welling up. When I gained weight and had a friend tell me, "you should've known that would end your chances at a relationship, this is Atlanta," I played Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme) countless evenings while steaming broccoli and grilling chicken breast seasoned with thoughts of self-harm. Mariah has talked so bad about Through The Rain and blamed it for Charmbracelet failing. I mean, did Fly Like a Bird even chart? Make it Happen did make it to the top 5 but I swear neither of those songs do anything for me. While Through the Rain and Can't Take That Away are some of the first songs I would play to a non-Mariah person. You know, like an alien.

Martyn (107,210) by Mara from United States
I was watching the tv and the news about the canceled Taylor Swift concerts brought up references to the horrific Manchester incident at the Ariana Grande concert - immediately my thoughts went to our MCA family member Martyn. He was such a special person on this board. I just wanted to remember him here with people who knew him and interacted with him, and we absolutely know "he's shining down on us from heaven".

Joachim I am so happy you are saved. We are all one big family here regardless if we post every day or lurk or post once in a while. It's a community unlike many with so many great people here. I am here to say that you are one special person to me and many here. Who cares about a few pounds is right-as long as you are still here and fighting and knowing that we all go through our own battles at different times. It's nice to have a family of supportive friends where we feel safe to confide things. Mariah's music alone is therapeutic to most of us here. I am keeping you in my prayers and know regardless of anyone's religion or lack of - that you have a purpose and a higher power has much in store for you.

MC talks about a Whitney deep cut (107,208) by Robert-Anthony from United States
This is one of MC's favorite Whitney songs. She called it a "deep cut" in an interview that nobody talks about. MC has never mentioned Kashif before. I definitely hear Whitney's influence on There's Got To Be A Way and Someday. I wonder what a MC and Kashif duet would have sounded like in the 90s.

Meteorite (107,207) by Randy from USA
C thanks for the info. I heard it for the first time today in SoundCloud. It sounds like it's truer to the sample. Hers sounds more trippy/rave/trance like. I imagine doing illicit drugs in Studio 54 in the 70s to hers. His, if slowed up, sounds like TEOM fare. Here's the link if anyone's interested.

It's such a beautiful song. I would also love a live album with duets and the best live performances. With songs like "You and I", "My All/Remix" at Pavarotti & Friends, "Bringin' on the heartbreak" the incredible version from the Charmbracelet Tour and many more. I want it all.
