Ok so snippet is out. Next single is Sugar Sweet. Seems very easy breezy sexy kinda vibe like TMB which is a song I love. The snippet hasn't instantly hooked me but neither did the snippet for TDang but I grew to like that. What does everyone think? By the way she looks like a literal Barbie. I can't wait for cover art and I think we'll get simultaneous album name reveal.

Shezz, I have 10 notebook pages of research, analysis, and X posts right now. Lol. I don't think the 2nd single will have any rappers as special guests. That is not the trend right now for a pop R&B hybrid song. My top 5 special guests are:
1. Justin Bieber - We need another MC and Justin collaboration.
2. Sza - Every song she releases and is a guest on does extremely well on the Hot 100.
3. Leon Thomas - His song Mutt is a hit on the Urban and Urban AC charts right now.
4. Summer Walker - Her fan base is crazy and her vocals add something great to any song.
5. Usher - He would definitely give MC those female listeners who love some Usher. Plus, his clear and rich vocals make your head bob to his songs.

Haha I think I have this right let me try Brad criticized TD and Mariah's choices (as is his right, this is a Mariah discussion forum) I'm paraphrasing but I think he said it's not age appropriate and not quality work. Then another member (I think Victoria - not sure so sorry if I'm wrong) responded by saying it's not his place to decide how women (Mariah included) should behave at what age (as is her right). She went on to say that a lot of people here love to bash M and mock her (which is not too far from the truth but I suppose it is their right) and then I think she implied he was a "hating ass hoe". Then Brad misconstrued a comment from Stacey as an attack on him and then declared that he's packed up his Louis Vuitton and jumped in his ride and took off. Baby he's gone.
Also, excited for next Friday and the "special guests".

I do wonder if MC16 will get shelved now as T-Dang made zero impact on the charts despite the big budget video and, for Mariah at least, some light promotion. If she is genuinely aiming for another number one, sticking to the same formula you've been peddling since 1997 isn't going to cut it. I do genuinely think her "Believe" moment has the potential to happen, but as with Cher, it needs to be something totally left field and unexpected of her. But no, let's instead churn out another formulaic, tired, boring, sample-heavy 3 minute R&B ditty with childish lyrics and throw Busta on the remix. That should do it. Oh wait. It didn't.

So with my analysis of singles needing at least six weeks to hit that sweet chart position on the charts, MC16 will probably not drop until September. Maybe this is best for maximum album sales because August is to jammed pack with major artists releases. I hope the Harv track has multiple features like Peaches to become that Hot 100 top 10 hit MC needs for MC16 to be successful. A Justin Beiber and Sza feature would help MC on both sides on the pop and R&B charts. I am keeping my fingers crossed those two are on the track. MC needs to follow the Peaches formula.

There is simply nothing uniquely Mariah about this "song". Her name and voice are a "brand" at this point and there is a listener expectation of something unique to her sound or abilities with every song. Most of her songs deliver that. Type: Dangerous does not. Any person could sing this "song", as it never results in a moment that is identifiably Mariah. It's bland, generic and in some places crass. Does anyone really want to hear a 56 year old Mariah calling people "hatin ass hoes"? Apparently not. Not to mention ya don't do that as a mother when you have a teenage daughter. Bad move, Mariah. We all know she can do better while still being "on trend". This song is just garbage. And it reflects poorly on her judgment that she didn't realize it before putting it out. Let's hope for better from MC16.

Let's just say the second single is going be exactly what we have been wanting from MC. It is that one more song L.A. Reid wanted MC to record. He suggested Harv to MC.

Yes, this board is (with capital letters) very unfriendly but only from one clique that is constantly diminishing love towards Mariah from others who, according to them, are not worthy to be her fan just because they don't have the latest info on anything similar regarding her career.
I literally joined here somewhere back in 2006 exactly because of that, to be informed, to read the news, to get the latest "411", to feel seen and accepted since no one was into Mariah amongst my group of friends.
In my part of world, we only got general info but I wanted more. I learned here so much and always refreshed the page to see if something new came up. I didn't came here to see insults, constant shade, outwitting and similar behavior.
