Bliss (111,055) by Giovanni from USA
I listened to "Bliss" last night and it was so ahead of its time. Mariah really out did herself with this one. It's one of her most underrated and one I feel gets over looked and not enough praise. Her whistles are really something else. The first "All my love is for you" at the end is my favorite part. I actually like the Rainbow album and I love her voice transformation from Rainbow to Charmbracelet.

I agree I'm so eager to hear it as well. "Fly like a bird" is one of her best songs and I have been waiting for Mariah to write a song that can top it. I'm also excited to hear the song with Anderson. I think most of us are going to like the album.

No Mimi I say bring the gowns back. Also remember those arm coverings/sleeves she wore, I say bring those back too haha. I forgot to mention I liked the ensemble she wore at the IHeartRadio awards. It was simple yet stylist, and the wavy hair was nice she looked beautiful. The gold ensemble last night was a no for me lol. I agree about the necklace and the earrings too, it just makes her look older.

Exactly. I found myself singing along to all these amazing hits with my eyes close, picturing the videos, rather than watch Mariah. Crazy, right? Young people need to know who blazed the trails for the artists they listen to now. It's nice to see MC get that recognition on such a big stage as the VMAs. "Me and Mariah, go back like babies and pacifiers..." Iconic.

She's literally insane with her diamonds. I just saw the whole necklace and earrings set cost 10 million dollars, it's by a Lebanese designer. A total of 204.38 carats. And since this is a milestone, I'm pretty sure she bought it. I follow @Mariahcareystyle_ on Instagram. And I actually cannot fathom Mariah's wealth. She unlocked an infinite money glitch with AIWFCIY. That plus the ridiculous amount of royalties from writing. Her official songwriter profile on Spotify lists 252 songs credited to her as a writer or co‑writer so she is making bank. She will forever have funds to look young and fabulous and be richer than all of the pop girlies.

Daydream (111,050) by Stacey from USA
Lol, ok. That's all I can do at this point is laugh.

Sweetheart, you chimed in to the nice discussion I was having with others that focused on Daydream's perfection. You responded to one of my posts first with a contrary argument. Not the other way around. Looks like its you that's the contrarian, lol. Like I said, all I can do is laugh at this point. Have a nice day.

So... thoughts on the VMA performance? (111,049) by Edward from USA
I never saw the day I would say this, but at this point I prefer some good lipping over some vocal fiasco. At least she seems more relaxed when lipping. I think she did a good job.

Bobby A, let's be positive but realistic. "Caution" sold 51k on its first week. I would say 50-100k.

The ratings had a major surge this year. I would like to think Mariah had something to do with that, because her Vanguard Award appearance was the only one confirmed for the night over the past couple of weeks. Nevertheless, the timing was perfect. That's millions of eyeballs, who heard her promote HFIA.

So... thoughts on the VMA performance? (111,046) by Bobby A from United States
I Shazamed every song in the mix and the same results came back not so surprising. There was such a mix of prerecorded and live vocals that Shazam came back with these results.

Big Energy/Obsessed/Honey/Herartbreaker - prerecorded from the Global Citzens Concert

Fantasy ft. Ol' Dirty Bastard - mixed vocal recording with live vocals

We Belong Together - prerecorded, live vocals and the Late Night Valentine Mix - (in my opinion)

We still love MC.

"Jesus I Do" is one I'm anticipating badly as well. I've been closing my eyes, for 3 hours straight, I open my eyes and it's still September 8. I wake upset and mentally unwell.

MC is going to score big with HFIA. I just feel it. Once people hear Jesus I Do and Mi, the album will have a huge debut on the Billboard 200. Maybe 150K - 200K is more like it. I am going to leave my sales prediction numbers alone now.

Giovanni I love you but no to the gown and heels hahah. That's exactly what I want her to stay away from. Show us then billion dollar legs in cute mini dresses but not onesies.

It's definitely not the worst outfit she wore but for such a milestone moment I expected something nicer and wish the diamond necklace was not there haha. She's so extra gotta love her. I think she looks younger when she doesn't have a huge necklace on.

VMAs: somewhere in a dark room (111,041) by Edward from USA
Mariah was Christina's idol since she was a little girl. The problem with Christina, in my humble opinion, is that she went into her own "Metamorphosis" too soon. By her second album, she had gone from "girl next door" to "girl butt wild". Had she not made that comment about Mariah, they would've probably been in good terms. But her biggest mistake ever was acting the way she did towards the Queen of Soul.

So... thoughts on the VMA performance? (111,040) by Lambi from USA
To the real Lambilies, this was expected. I was honestly just smiling the whole time, I felt like her bestie hyping her up: "Go girl. Project." But yeah, to the casual viewer at home, this probably came off as stale and a little sad to watch, with her age in context. I thought the general public's sentiment would probably be, "It's time to retire." But I checked the YouTube comments, surprisingly passed the vibe check, it sounded like they are openly just accepting Mariah: "Only Mimi could walk across the stage like a robot and make it iconic." "She gives me everything and nothing at the same time, I love it." LMAO.

I know Mariah is mortified of dancing because when she was a little girl, her aunt once used it as a determining factor if she was black or not. (It's so f***ed up) But I wish she could move past that. Heartbreaker-era Mariah doing choreography was so cute. I actually think she's a decent dancer, she has natural rhythm. Obviously not a showstopper but still entertaining to watch. People are accepting of her giving that little now, but maybe she can give a tiny bit more on the stage presence department.

So great that Mariah received two trophies last night and completed her trophy wall from all the big award shows on the Globe. The last thing to do is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and then there is nothing else left to achieve.

The outfit was not great, but the speech was brilliant. I was praying we weren't going to get some drunken rambling like we did when she won her award for Precious or when she was inducted into the SHOF, but glad to see she was coherent, well rehearsed, engaging and funny. Her relationship with Ariana is really so nice to see. Sort of like how Patti and Aretha revered and supported Mariah when she was Ari's age.

As for the performance, it sort of is what it is at this point. No movement, badly lipped, but somewhat entertaining. The crowd loved it so I suppose that's what counts.

I loved her plug for the album and that melodic "two weeeeks" line. We are all so excited to hear new music from her. I never wish my days away but I am beyond excited to hear the album, especially Jesus I Do.

"For vocalists, there's only one queen and that's Mariah." Ariana is all of us, truly. It probably meant the world to her to present the award. Mariah couldn't have picked a better person.

Mimi L, I kinda liked the ensemble. I thought the boots were kind of clunky though. I think she looked terrific and I thought her movement was standard, she's done less movement before. My problem is (as always) that someone considered one of the greatest vocalists of all time can't seem to sing live but even then, she's miming better than in the past. Her eyes were on that teleprompter though. You could tell she was reading the whole time. That's a new phenomenon with her. She wrote these songs. She's lived with them. Hell, they're part of pop culture. She probably just needs it for the arrangement and to not miss her mouthing cues. But that hurts her interaction with the audience. Maybe, just maybe, if she'd just sing. I know I know. It was too cold in there. It was too hot in there. She didn't get 8 hours sleep. Her humidifier quit without giving two weeks notice. She has nodules. But overall I was still able to hold my head high as a fan. At this point I'm glad for just that.
