JD interview on The Breakfast Club (111,106) by Randy from USA He starts talking about her at 30:00 on YouTube. It was a little enlightening. He claims she wants to go full out hip-hop. At one point early on she brought Cream by Wu-Tang to him and said I want to sing over that. He also said that she wanted to "rap" more over We Belong Together. I think he meant sing more with fast wordplay. He insisted on her sing that last note We Belong Together. He also said she can sing flawlessly when she wants to. She doesn't want to highlight how well she sings anymore. That kinda makes sense. I have noticed since she started having problems with her voice she wants to put emphasis on her being a songwriter or she thanks God for the gift of making music. She never wants to talk about her voice. MC doesn't want to put the effort into singing at a high level. He also says the audience wants the new Mariah records to sound like the old Mariah records. He says it's a struggle with all artists. They all want to change their sound despite the success and the brand that got them to the top. It was very interesting. This hype narrative is longer and more in depth than the one posted on the Record Store Day website for U.S. retailers. I feel MC's seven year absence since Caution and the HFIA promotion so far is going to help MC score big with critics and the news media on 09.26. Plus, I know already HFIA is a brilliant work by MC. I rarely drink, but the few times in my life when I have, I've acted a fool with my friends and it was fun. I don't think we should scrutinize every little part of her life. She's allowed to have fun and act a fool with her friends at a party after winning a big award. We actually don't know if she's on any medication - it's all speculation. Mariah is an intelligent person and if she thinks Busta's words were inappropriate, she'll handle it. As we've seen in the past, she doesn't have a problem cutting people out of her life. The right length was one she wore at Brighton Pride, purple and blue gradient ensemble. Though, I'm happy no one is roasting her like when Madonna wears something outrageous because Mariah actually looks good. The "give it up" commentaries are nowhere to be found. It seemed appropriate because it's MTV and she's pretty much winning a lifetime achievement award. It's both casual and over-the-top at the same time. I think she had a different dress planned for when she accepted her award, but since it was given to her before the show, she didn't get to show it. I agree that the longer length on the jumper looks better. Also, the longer sleeves threw off the balance. I prefer the shorter sleeves like the blue and purple one at Brighten Pride and the black one from Capital's Summertime Ball. Overall, I really like it. It's different than anything she's worn in her other eras and nobody else is wearing that silhouette right now. (That I can think of.) I loved the boots but I think the taller ones look better. I'm looking forward to a Mrs. Clause sparkly moment in this silhouette. But with over the knee boots. Maybe she needs to have them custom made so that they're taller. But she's still got a lot to improve on her lipping. Celine is a great lipper, for many years people thought she's always singing live.
