Article: Daniel Bedingfield will release lost Mariah Carey duet (106,334) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I'm sure it sounds good, because that was a time were pop music still had melodies while sounding fresh and were radio friendly. I even remember his sister, she had a few hits too. I'm a big soul and jazz fan, but a good pop song is always a win. I can't wait to hear it.

Suggesting that Mariah has Alzheimer's would be extremely insensitive. It could potentially be an onset of early dementia though.

Autocue (106,331) by Carlos from Brazil
I noticed that on instagram but honestly it's probably laziness. I bet they wrote the words on a cardboard in the middle of her concert and made her read the lines on a good lighting. It's not like she rehearsed the thing and kept forgotting. I know it's not your point but as hysterical as the people here are they are going to diagnose Mariah with Alzheimer in the next posts.

I do worry about Mariah's inability to not do anything without autocue. She has increasingly been seen on stage constantly referring to the autocue, something she never did before, and her latest instagram post about the soul beach festival she can be seen doing the same.
Is she in a position where she can't ad-lib a short 15 seconds video or even worse remember the words to her own songs. There could be more to it but just wondering what peoples take on it is.

Could this be the moment that we have been waiting on for 6 years? If it does go viral, pop radio won't have a choice, but to play it. We haven't had a hit pop male and female duet since I Don't Want To Live Forever by Zayn and Taylor in 2017.

Why is there no JD on Butterfly? (106,324) by Tonish from Australia
Hi, I don't know if you mean JD missing from the Butterfly album, but he did do the Honey remix and the My All/Stay Awhile remix. I hope this helps.

That is so random, but I'm here for it. Maybe it's common knowledge to some but I personally didn't know they even got together at one point in the past.

I just ordered a fan made The Butterfly Returns live CD on Ebay. There are 5/20 copies left. Grab your copy. This is the residency right before The Caution Tour. I think her voice sounded really good back then. I will find out in 3 days.

Toni Braxton's residency (106,316) by Brandon from USA
I just watched some clips from Toni Braxton's first night's Vegas residency and she did an awesome job. It made me think about some things that MC could do to improve hers since it kinda falls flat to me. First, Toni Braxton moves and dances (she is not a dancer but has put a lot of work into perfecting the moves). She also has female dancers which helps with the aesthetics of the production. (Why did MC ditch her female dancers?) She's also not stiff as a piece of plywood but very comfortable and confident on stage. MC's dancers always look off to me and I think that they need to add the female element into the show. Toni's show also looks aesthetically like a Vegas show with the production, ensembles and dramatics. I also can tell that Toni has put a lot of practice into performing because she's not wandering around the stage like a deer in headlights or constantly looking down at a screen as though she's singing karaoke and waiting for her part. I'm sure Toni lips too but you cannot tell because she has worked at it. I watched her perform Unbreak My Heart and she was so graceful in how she moved and emotive (dramatic) that she really drew you in. Unfortunately, years of neglect to MC's craft (vocal health and learning how to perform) are showing and have been for awhile. You can tell those who have honed their craft throughout the years (Toni, Celine, Christina) and those that haven't (MC).

More Taylor (106,314) by Libra Lamb from USA
We can certainly uplift our favorite artists without having to put down others. There's room for everyone to share the spotlight or take turns on top. Mariah has had much more success than most people can even imagine. She's got nothing left to prove and Taylor's success does not match or take away from Mariah's accomplishments. While Taylor's music is not for me, I can see her appeal to the masses, and no, it's not her skin color. While I agree that there's a lot of chart manipulation going on in the music industry, this level of success is due to the fans and her mass appeal and not a conspiracy theory. Who knows, one day we may even get a collaboration between these two like we did with Ariana, who we all thought would never happen.

Maybe tomorrow we can get back to MC. I was thinking today that MC could release anything this year to satisfy me. She could release the Rarities II, a remix album from 2003-2018, or the Butterfly Lounge. I would be happy with a surprise duet with Lucky Daye this fall. I messaged him and MC on X yesterday about when a collaboration was coming and he liked my post. Sounds promising, right?

Your post just brought me back. The constant invocation of the race card feels tired and overused, at this point it's kind of slickening.

Mariah Carey once held the same formidable position in the music industry that Taylor Swift now occupies. During her reign, Mariah stood tall at the pinnacle of success while other esteemed artists gradually receded from the spotlight. Such is the cycle of life in the music world. Mariah's dominance coincided with a generation that grew up immersed in her timeless melodies, perhaps unaware of the legendary artists who paved the way before her.

While I may not personally resonate with Taylor's music, it's important to acknowledge the undeniable facts: her numbers speak volumes, much like Mariah's did in the '90s. Though I wouldn't personally invest in Taylor's work due to my own tastes, it's clear that millions around the globe find immense appeal in her music. This is undeniably her moment to shine.

As fans, it's natural to root for our favorites and celebrate their successes. However, it's equally important to do so without disparaging other artists. Mariah herself has faced unwarranted criticism in the past, and as fans, we should understand the importance of uplifting our idols without tearing down others.

Man you all have a great day.

More Taylor (106,310) by Chris from United States
My disclaimer is that I could care less about Bey or Tay and don't hold any allegiance to either of these chicks. This white supremacy claim can be taken to the alley, and left for pickup next day. Bey has had mad success for the last 5 years or so, where it's been sickening. That was her time, and now is just Tay's time whether we like it or not. Honestly, this is just as sickening, but here we are.

For you to sit here before us and tell us not to put certain names together in a sentence suggests that you feel a sense of superiority or entitlement, when we are simply having a discussion. Yes, a discussion where not everyone agrees, but just because you don't agree with them, you run about having a temper tantrum - it's laughable. Using the race card to assert your dominance on this topic is actually quite low, to be honest. The queen of poetic lyricism has had her decade in the sun, and deservedly so. For some reason, people dig this mediocre Taylor writing (who still acts like she's 15) but who am I? Who are you?

Yes, Taylor does write her own material; some really good stuff, and a lot being just silly. These words are hers and from her own mind - therefore, making her a writer. Just because it's white, or something you don't agree with, doesn't mean you can't simply say her name in the same sentence as Mariah, or that other girl, Beyoncé. This is just coming off as immature.

I am just glad I got to witness one of the greatest writers with one of the greatest voices dominate for a whole decade. It's a shame MC won't release much today, outside of Christmas, prob due to the landscape and where people's minds are (Taylor idolization). But, I know Mariah is the OG, and paved the way for many artists like Swift. Oh crap, did I just mention their names in the same sentence?
